Have fun with that. The guy can't hit worth a damn. That Jays team of years past taught him to swing for the fences and he just isn't a good power hitter. He never learned when to swing and when to get on base. He also tends to drift out of position, most of the reason he makes so many highlight reel plays is because he had to scramble to make a play other outfielders would of had without the theatrics.

He was a fun Jay to watch but with what they have coming up from the farm he wasn't going to have a place next year. You'll enjoy his replays on ESPN but grow tired of his performance at the plate and watching him misjudge where he needs to be in the field.

I expect nothing from the guy. How good could he be if he's being traded a week into the season? Jays are in fire sale mode. De Paula is the only possible bright spot in the trade, but he was let go by Seattle, New York, and now the Giants. SF is just trying to fill a hole of their own making. It's a band aid so the fans, and maybe even some of the players, don't think the front Office (Zaidi) has tossed in the towel for the season, as it appears they have.

Yeah, the Jays are already planning next years roster. This year is just a placeholder and the players they bring in are here just to fill roles while about a half dozen players finish up in the minors.
