Not if it's not moving. If you leave it on and drive it, you will have problems.

Update: dealer resurfaced the front rotors and replaced the pads. I have to admit that it made a difference. That was about 250 miles ago. Now it feels like the vibration is coming back but at a different speed range. I notice it when slowly braking from 25-15mph. Sigh. Made another service appointment with the dealer.

I'm willing to go along with what the dealership recommends for now. I guess you can call it the honeymoon phase.
Since the problem doesn't seem to be resolved, though, the novelty is wearing off quickly!

Mango, this is where my vibration is. Started noticing it around 100 miles, and with 360 on the odo, it persists. The worst is deceleration at the 25mph mark. Looks like I am back to dealer this weekend.

I have the same issue. 2018 TRD Pro, 6 speed manual, 2000 miles. Has done it since like 400 miles. If I get up to 60mph and THEN put it in neutral and use the brakes, the truck will shake a tiny bit and the feeling of pulsing/shaking/vibration in the brake pedal. The steering wheel does not shake so I am confident that the issue is in the rear.

Do you get the vibration under 30mph, when slowing down?

I think I have noticed it around that speed too but it is much worse at 60mph, if I put my truck in neutral like I said, and then brake.. It does it really bad. Ironically I also have a whining sound right around 60mph while coasting (but slighlty on the gas) which sounds like diff howl.

@Prjct_Vodo , did this work for you? I was at dealer today and they agree there is a problem, but did not find the TSB. They did open a case with Toyota, and will have me bring the truck back when Toyota is available to help them trouble shoot. If this TSB worked for you, I’ll pass it along.

    Cheers!

I'm actually fighting with the dealership about it because they're saying the TRD Pro is exclude from the tsb and that they still can't replicate the issue

My dealer found one for the SR5, but it excludes TRDs. Or, TuRDs as I now like to call them. Only joking.

I’ll let you know what mine comes back with on my OR. The OR is the Pro’s little brother.

Yes, they balanced the front wheels (makes zero sense to me), and turned the rear drums to even them out. This Reduced the vibrations for a little bit. Toyota says it’s “normal” and the dealer told me another new truck on their lot vibrates worse than mine.
Lack luster response from dealer and corporate, but the vibration is not bad enough to cause me severe worry at this point.

Dang. I am taking mine in on Friday. I also have steering wheel and pedal vibrations at certain speeds. Do you have this? Hopefully this is just a balance issue.

DAAANG... at what point is it a Lemon? Obviously if they're doing things about it, they're acknowledging that a problem exists...

For my state, if it continues after the fourth repair attempt it should fall under lemon law.

I don't understand what the difference is between TSB-0171-16 and TSB-0023-19.

When I read the description for T-SB-0171-16, mine matches closer to this than 0023.
