    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Some pads actually use one thin serrated shim and one thicker solid shim. Toyota OEM pads don't come with shims so you have to put them on, aftermarket pads usually come with shims so you don't have to worry about it

    Drop bracket lift and booger welds
    I never believed in those stupid things until I saw it actually work in snow. Off camber up hill, some traction pads and a little pushing on the rig and got some open diff guys through a section they wouldn’t have been able to get through otherwise. Made me a believer for sure. Seems like any tool, they have a correct time and place. Also needs proper setup of course in order to successfully use them.

    They’re good wheels if you can get them cheap enough. The backspacing is why I refuse to run them on a taco

    Yeah the backspacing is bad, but people seem to hate the look of them. 3rd Genners cast them away like they're weeds, and those who keep them black them out.

    I saw the pic of your Tundra with the sport wheels, those would look better any other color. Doesn't look right with that truck.

    Guess it depends on the look of the vehicle they're going on.

    The machined face look belongs where it started, small cars. It was a Subaru thing first beginning with Outbacks, and that's all I can see

    I agree, they definitely look better on 1st Gens. The backspacing is truly terrible though. I'm not a spacer guy either, so I'll have to live with the rubbing.

    I like to tread lightly and not disturb the rocks, might as well carve you ig handle and throw it off a cliff:rofl:. (sarcasm)

    Seriously though, I find it easier to just park rather than get out, find some rocks that may or may not be the right height, then balance on them. My hi-lift is easier to get to than most rocks. I have more control and no trying to find the perfect rock. Usually it's 3-5 pumps of the jack until it's level. I've gone to the point once where I could barely get onto the tailgate. Beggars can't be choosers when setting up camp in popular areas where the flat sites are usually taken.
