Glad to see you’re still on here instead of sleeping, as always. It’s good to be back!

I don’t know what’s more surprising... that no one’s done serious damage, or that HPTuners is here. Either way, both are pretty awesome.

For those of you who are using the Roush tensioner. How much of the travel on that tensioner are you using right now? I am estimating I'm at about 75%, and I have an idea for upping that to 90%. However, the technical issues that I've heard of could be destroying idler bearings (although I think that would be more likely with a static tensioner) and potential belt failure from too much tension.

I have been monitoring my belt dust since putting the new belt on, I have hardly seen any. I used the product in this video, for $30 for a small bottle it seemed worth a try. It did reduce my belt dust (because better traction, I hope) noticeably.

Curious to see if your voltage booster works for you. I installed one along with my DC Engineering alternator and didn't really see a boost in voltage when warm. Hope to hear some feedback when you're done.

I'll put together a thread on it when complete, with before and after measurements. Interesting that you didn't see a voltage boost with your DC Engineering alternator, as that was the one I was looking before deciding to just go with the voltage booster. That unit specs higher voltage output, did you try it without the voltage booster?

I don't know if I ever reported back with my review on the air injection setup but I am happy to say that after over 1000 miles (easily) logged since installing the bypass module, I have found that pinging has highly receded at higher RPM's due to the installation of block off plates to prevent exhaust from running through the valves and that the check engine light has remained off despite one of my valves being stuck.

The secondary air injection system is huge bottleneck in the system and causes odd running issues on our trucks if we have a blower installed and I have just proven it. Furthermore, what I am finding is that exhaust size may actually be a factor for those running 2.5 pulleys and under. It is my belief (please don't take this as gospel) that 2.25" exhaust piping is not big enough to handle the additional power output that the blower puts out after running pulleys 2.5 and smaller in diameter. I may end up getting a custom made bigger set of of pipes here shortly and see if it helps out any.

This review as of the time of its writing is for 2012's ONLY. Too bad so sad for you 2013s and up. :D

You will still require physical block off plates to prevent exhaust gasses from getting through the AIR system. HPT only covers you from one section of it all.

I am running modified piping, a modified factory Y, and a different muffler but it is still 2.25."

Right, i think our buddy @Roostfactor can help us out with sourcing some of those plates :D

Dang, im guessing all the aftermarket catbacks arent carb legal? or if not, any particular reason you stuck with that setup?

Catbacks are a waste of money to me. I would rather give the business to a shop who will charge me 1/4 of what it costs to make a similar sized catback which will put out the same performance as a premade design. I just inform them of what I want, how I want it and how I would like to have it routed and they do the rest.

Catbacks are not illegal for smogs as long as they do not disturb the cat converters location and if they do have cats then they better have the proper certifications to keep them smog compliant.

Gotcha, that makes sense. I do think you would benefit from a 3" exhaust. Even when i was still running all four factory cats, i noticed a big difference in the higher rpms. Truck pulled much harder, and now that im catless it's even better

I stuck with 2.5” catback due to fears of future emissions regulations here. That being said my catback setup is a custom 2.5” setup.
