I dont have any pics on my phone. It's a 10" KB VooDoo. Its rusting already I just put it on. Reached out to that shit pump that owns that company and he told me to use touch up paint. I didnt do proper research.

Kb. Going to a bamf this year

Just do yourself a favor and wire wheel the kb Voodoo and brush paint the rack. You'll never have to worry about it again.

Powder coat often gets viewed as this tough end all be all paint. It really just isn't. Almost everything I've ever got with powder coating came dinged up from shipping and chipped out shortly after

I followed that thread. Seems like it's been an ongoing problem. I bought some of their crossbars($70) right after I got my truck. I then bought a camper shell before I ever picked them up  Had a buddy in town that wanted them, so I sold them to him for what I paid.

I honestly thought they were Toyota brand when I bought them.....didn't know they were as expensive as they are

Yeah I got lit up on that thread. Seems like guys thought I was either looking for a handout or over reacting. You cant argue with like 25 people. Lol . I just took my lumps!

I agree with you. I could do that. I think in the future when I have the option to get something aluminum instead of steel i will.

Why are you switching to Banf?

I don't wheel like the guys in Moab do. But I do about 2000 miles on non roads alone. Did 178 miles in maine mountain backcountry in the snow this winter. Do a lot in the wagon trails of VT.

Ends up being a ton of body roll coming off rocks and trees. Going with tub for the security of being more rugged. Overall I love my Voodoo rack and have had no issues besides the paint.

I picked some up last year. Never got around to painting them and putting them on. They'll be going on this year though for sure.

I bought some of the @Bentrodder ones. I don't know if I actually needed them or not, but the price made it feel like good insurance. I'd much rather waste $100 and never use it rather than replacing the bed if it does start to separate...…..plus I keep a camper shell on 24/7 :D
