I would go camping with you. Truth is I don’t think less of you because we have different opinions. I make fun of your RTT because some people have made it a farce. It’s funny. I’m short. You can make fun of me being short. I TOTALLY sleep in the bed of my truck without having to scrunch up. Be glad we bust each other balls and talk shit in order to pass the time, unlike the Spartans, who chose to do other things in order to celebrate camaraderie.

I saw that the other day over the bed... I guess it helps when you only can find a spot that’s 10 degrees off level.

Those numbers are real! I got myself a nice Eureka tent for the family. Wife and I can setup and take down in five minutes (if we don't wanna sweep it out). Our last trip we stayed at a different location 3 nights in a row and the hassle was minimal

Nah, I don’t even have a Instagram and TW is about as much “social media” as I get into. You just sound butthurt. I guess I would be too, wasting money on a RTT

I have a Eureka as well. Excellent tents, and yeah, only a couple minutes to set up at most. The one I have is all mesh when you don’t use the rain fly, which is cool.....sleeping under the starlight and all.....

Is there an unlike button? If so it might be worth it just to download and create an account to unlike all your photos.

The difference between sleeping under a shell and RTT is the shell serves a lot more daily purpose than a RTT. You don't spend over a thousand dollars for a shell just for sleeping under. It covers gear, daily errands, security, etc etc. The too are not alike.

You and I think alike. Tent in summer / shell in winter.

Carpeted ceiling shells have zero condensation/mold issues, which is a bonus.

You can also see them from a half mile away. Looks like they are transporting a piece of a stage from a strip club down the road

remember that part of the reason it is as you say sometimes a muddled mess of good info, bad info, humor, and trolling is that there are so many active members on here. ultimately the high activity is good, but ya gotta deal with the negatives.

    couple of tips:

    1. certain topics are destined to flame out ( RTT debate, TRD Pro worth it?, I hate my Tacoma, overlanding, suspension spacers, and the like)

    2. a decent OP will cull some of the best info and put it in the first post

    3. really terrific posters will number their points in a post to make it easier to navigate.

I would challenge OP to pull out the pros and cons listed here for RTTs and consolidate them in the first post.

Isn’t it really weird how the three hundred different brands of RTT all have exactly the same design? The only difference is the logo.

I know some will point out some slight differences is a zipper tab or the size of a flap, but in general they are 98% exactly the same. I think they must all come out of the same factory.

Haha it don't bother me one bit. I just figure the people complaining are soft or fake campers haha.

I enjoy it. Even in 9* weather DJI_0662.jpg

They do all look alike to me. Is there really 300 different brands? Honestly I don’t know a lot about RTT’s. Again IMO, it seems most of the time they are bought by someone who uses them just a few times and during those times it’s just to take pics and look cool. I’m sure there are a few people here that actually use them a lot, and they may serve a purpose for them other than looking cool and scoring bro points. I’d rather spend the money on something else and sleep in a ground tent.

But hey whatever floats these peoples boats. It’s their money and image not mine.

I'd say its safe to say that these guys have been on more trips in the backcountry than most on here and they like using RTT
