    Don't need massive hp, just wanna gain about 50 horses with some simple mods that don't require a tune.

    This 2.7 3RZFE at 150 just isn't cuttin it.

    Budget is $600. Where to start?

    x2... 50 more HP is a significant 33% increase in HP on your engine that really can't be done on the cheap

    x2 on what everyone said. cant happen on the cheap. you need a turbo or a bigger motor.

    Crap. I dont really wanna go turbo. I mostly just hit fire trails and rocks while i'm hunting or fishing but seems like i'm always feathering the pedal because there is no initial torque. Once it gets up to rpms, it's fine. Just seems like the throttle response is really slow.
    Suggestions?

    And it's my dd so no swapping motors.

    for maybe 4hp, that's not gonna cut it. Prolly can't even feel it.

    It will improve the throttle response a little. The other thing holding you back is the auto tranny.

    Re-gear your differential. You'll have more effective torque hitting the ground.

    The downside is you'll rev higher on the highway.

    I'm at 4.56 stock. I thought that was fair for what I do. Again, it's my dd.
    23 miles to work @ usually 65 mp. Cant re-gear.

    Anything else?
    What if I bumped up my budget? I suppose I could sell my AR15. Dont want to...but hypothetically. $1k will get me?

    Headers ?
    Deck plate mod ?
    Turbo muff ?

    crawler box will give you some low gear grunt while keeping your high gear ability for highway.

    3" pipe will destroy your back pressure resulting in loss of low end torque
