What is the backspacing on those? I bought new wheels because the standard wheels had to little.

I got to use one of those Titanium welders from HF it's a damn nice little mig for the price. Think they are like 400 bucks or something like that. It's just a little 110 welder. It all depends on what you want to do. It had no problem burning some 1/4" plate, had to run it cranked all the way up, wire feed moderately fast and slower hand speed to get good penetration but it was impressive. Just get some gas that is the ticket.

I have heard good things about Vulcan welders from HF. Main drawback is support and replacement internals should you need it

Not sure on the Vulcan I used the Titanium which is their other line of welders. Buy the warranty and replace it when it dies.

West Alabama looks to have a marginal risk for some strong thunderstorms tomorrow. Mainly just a rain event. Rain will be gone by Friday AM. We need a wash from all this pollen.

So aside from the welder you need:
    Face mask
    Gas (not sure how much)
    Wire (not sure what kind)
    Maybe a stand/rack

    What else???

Gloves are a must, but That’s about it as far as welding goes.

Metal table and a large assortment of clamps / magnets.

I went in on a basically new 40' trailer for hauling this backhoe and a dozer. He gave 5k for the Case backhoe, and a 5k for a CAT D3. Both machines were bought from the same individual. Also he has had a Gehl Skidsteer for probably 12+ years, the dozer and backhoe were bought maybe 2 years ago.

Must be an Alabama thing for dealerships. Lynch in Auburn are about as good as using a burlap sack full of rocks to clean your windshield. We'll do business with Lagrange Toyota in GA from now on.

For any decent 110 welder you'll want to use your washer machine outlet or another outlet in the garage or wherever that has a higher amp rating. So a good HD extension cord, Gas 75/25 mix the small bottles get used up quickly so a medium to larger size is ideal, wire just your typical mild steel .030 wire for most stuff 1/4"+ .035 is a lot nicer to use but can be done with .030, 030 wire is more versatile IMO. A welding table or bench is nice but not necessary. Definitely a welding cart makes moving the welder around so much easier. Welder's pliers, extra tips, nozzles, etc. Gloves, welders jacket, other PPE. It sucks getting splatter down your shirt or burning your pants and getting to you. Gloves to deal with the heat and prevent sunburn (even though I don't really use them, but you really should)

If your laundry room is near your garage and you have an electric dryer and can afford a 240 machine get it. You can turn down the bigger machines but can only turn up the 110 machines so much so welding thicker stuff with the 240 machine is a lot easier. You'll need to make an extension cord to reach the garage if you do the 240 machine though, not that hard.

I am by no means an expert welder I am sure others can offer some more suggestions and probably some better ones.

Here you go for the folks looking at the TRD Sale. Everything is priced at MSRP then 40% off that. Not really a sale at all...just a sale gimmick to trick folks into thinking they are getting a deal
