After finding mold growing due to a runaway humidity issue I switched over to the Boveda packs.

Glass tops? Unfortunately Cubans are fakes so much and friends/family mean well, but most are fakes. There are a few good FB groups that have experts that can help. I’ve taken apart some good fakes and found nasty ass shit rolled up inside. Not worth the risk.

pending on where you live...for example in PA winter...I gotta stay on top oy oasis and keep it hydrated...in the Summer, I dont add any water and pray the Heartfelt beads can soak up Spring.

so....65-70 pending on like...season...how air tight, how often you go in...where it is located in the house, etc.

    so...yeh..your fine...trial an error

travel humidors are tough...in summer, I would go 60%, its going to be higher in the box

There are known fakes being circulated by well known sites unfortunately. There was a big convo about it many months back in a group I’m in. These were the “go to” sites. It’s been happening a lot. Buy at your own risk. I’ve resorted to buying older aged stuff from guys that can be vouched for. That being said, I rarely smoke Cubans these days. I smoke a majority of Tatuaje and Roma Craft. If you buy from LCDH, you’re good.

I had a Cuban Montecristo torpedo in Jamaica in January. It was very smooth, not at all harsh like many of the Cubans I have had in the past when I lived in Germany.

My go-to is the Dominican/Nicaraguan White Label. Will be enjoying one at the Havana Garage in Old Town Omaha tonight, where we have a jazz gig.

Back in Germany I LOVED the Juan Clementes. I have not seen this in the States for the last 20 years. I think the originator of the brand died, and I am not sure the company is still in business. Shame, because it was a GREAT cigar, especially for before dinner.

Been using xikar crystal jars for years with no issues. You do have to refill them with solution/water. Always have one jar in center of my humidor with average 25-40 cigars at a time. And it’s always between 65-70%, usually more toward 70. Then again having a nice tight cedar humidor makes a world of difference too.

And I try to always leave new cigars in the humidor for at least a couple weeks before I smoke them.

I don't know...the hair and low-grade filler materials kind of make it more authentic as a Cuban...Revenge for decades of embargo and all that
