Dropped a powertrax no-slip into the rear this past weekend. Had to remove the ring gear because it was so low (4.56) that the pinion shaft couldn't be removed without taking the ring gear off. I didn't anticipate that.
Couldn't find the torque specs anywhere in Hanes.
    Anyone have a clue?

I'm going to drive it for 2 weeks to break everything in then take it back apart and re-install everything while taking pics to post.

It's running sweet as hay-all !! Maybe it was the royal purple and the first diff fluid change but it's sooo smooth and the traction off road is awsome. I can't imagine not having it now. However I do see maybe a big disadvantage on ice but we dont get much here in sc.

Also I have had to re-learn some driving style because now that both tires are locked I have found myself even with just the 4 cyl motor of kicking it sideways when i'm trying to ride high on some ruts and finding I am gettin alot of "side slide"? and ending up places that I don't want to be. Particularly..in the rut and hafting to pick a new line.

I have seen several "how to's" on the installation of lockers so if it's not needed, let me know.

This will be for a 8 in tacoma dc, TRD, SR5 shortbed with 4.56 gears. start to finish.
I have a few pics that I took if anyone is interested. It just got to involved after a while cause nothing had ever been broke loose since I bought it new and was very time consuming. ( took me a good 6 hrs with hand tools. No air, no impacts. Just you common craftsman wrenches and sockets.
    Thanks.

    No one?
There were like 15-18 bolts that I had to undo to get that ring off. They all had to be broke loose with a breaker bar. I had no vice so I fabricated a jig made of 2x4's that worked quite well.
I torqued them back at 80-100 lbs to be safe but not sure if that was to much. They were loctited and took the majority of the time during the install. HELP!

Stolen?! May the bastard that stole it fall off and crack his face wide open. Sucks man...that's one hot bike. I'm a big V. Rossi fan too, I would've been so livid.
