The chance is high that you end up cutting them off anyways to aid in removal, and your not "supposed" to reuse u bolts either.

yeah it's relatively cheap insurance, plus you're 'technically' supposed to replace U-bolts every time after you remove them or so I've heard. I've had my OME ones off a couple times and they're still working fine, but since your OEM ones are older and been on there for so long I think it's worth it to get new, longer ones.

I didn’t know that about reusing the u-bolts. Glad I came in here and asked. I’m hoping for an easy fight with bolts, not much rust on this truck:

Idk, mine are a little on the greenish grey side, always kinda bugged me but not enough for me to really care. That hyper silver looks killer.0103191545a.jpg 1214181159.jpg

I came across this before as well and couldn't agree more. So inexpensive, no reason not to change them out.

I really need to do this. Although, last time I started cleaning the engine bay, somehow I didn't notice that bright yellow microfiber towel which dropped down into the pulleys.

Yeah, you can guess what happened the next morning when I closed the hood, hopped in and went to start her up.:bananadead::bananadead: :sawzall:

Installed OEM center support bearing. The 2 year old aftermarket one was toast already with maybe 10k miles on it. Another reason to stick with OEM.

Looks pretty good to me, the 22R and RE are so small, even compared to the 3RZ

Ouch! Yeah, what I get for being tired and doing some wiping down of the bay. Rag wrapped itself around the belts good. Ended up slicing the belts and replacing. They were definitely wasted. Fortunately, no other damage

It is tiny. It feels tiny too when you get on the gas. Hard to believe the 2rz 2.4 makes 45ish more hp than the 22re 2.4. If I put a 3rz in here, it would feel like a race engine lol.

Yeah, its amazing what essentially 10 more years of fuel injection development and knowledge as well as a way better breathing motor can do. Still the little 22R-E is solid as long as you don't let the timing guide shit the bed.
