This that and the other thing.
might want to do some investigating, for some reason this rings a bell and two things pop into my head

1- bad ground, I think this happened to my parents and there was some hood pin switch that closes a ground or some shit and the wire broke

2- this happened to my work van and the key just had to be re-programmed (this was the security light on the dashboard like where the speedometer is) I think its cuz the battery died and had sat for a few months

EDIT: they were not Subaru's tho

I can't find any info saying either way. I may end up taking the trip and checking it myself.

I cant see why the front doors would be different, I think the trip would be worth it

is the ext cab have the half door? If so I'd imagine it's got some kind of different latch mechanism. I could be wrong though. I'd imagine a regular cab door would be the same.

The half door has a latch on it, like the latch on the B pillar of a double cab if that makes sense. Reason I think it’d work is tube doors from 4xinnovations work on both DC and AC.

Regular cab wouldn’t work because the contour of the back of the cab is different. RC is more vertical whereas AC and DC is curved.

I have a cap meant for a regular cab on my truck, and you can see the gap at the top. After a week I didn’t even notice it anymore!

Dude. There’s no other way. Having dry, secure storage is unbeatable. I don’t need the ability to haul anything remotely large, so I have 0 regrets.

If it’s just me I’ll sleep in the bed. If my wife and dog join then we’ll be in a tent. Sleeping in the bed is so damn easy. Just shove totes to the side behind the fridge, or toss them in the back seat, or if I’m somewhere remote then I’ll leave them outside under the truck.

We do the ground tent now, but I'm thinking about a cargo trailer conversion if I can get one for a good price.
