Going pretty well my man, likewise! Reviewing a few pics from the trip and making mac n cheese with chicken tenders with some Carolina hot sauce because I'm on my own

Had to do a detail on the interior today because the west Texas dust

03/27/19 - Installed the @mesojdm ultimate dome light and am amazed at how bright it is! I scored red and white map lights as well and so I will get those on once I fix up the overhead console. When I installed the switches for the lockers up there, i broke what makes the driver side map light work or have any spring. I have a new overhead console i sourced from ebay that I am going to modify to accept the shapeways object that holds the switches.

I've heard the white are really bright. I've been running the red in both for a while and love them.

 

Ive heard the same thing about the whites which drove me to get the reds lol

Good to hear about the reds, i want to run red maps and white dome combo

 

I've heard thats the best setup. I've thought about getting a white dome because sometimes the all red doesnt cover the same area as well as white when I'm searching for something in the floor boards.

In my experience, red had the least effect on your night vision, so no sting when it gets cut on. Also, there's less throw over distance, so if you're not trying to blast your lights everywhere, red works the best. We use red lense lights in the combat world for tactical light discipline for that reason

 

I agree as my eyes do adjust much easier than with white. Using the white dome you can set it up by removing 1 wire so it never comes on unless you turn it on. then your maps come on with the doors and the dome stays off. If you need the dome just flip the switch and you've got bright ass white dome lighting up the entire interior. I've also seen some studies that say red isnt actually any better than white and green is the best for retaining your night vision. Dont see how those study's are accurate because I def notice a difference using red over white.
