Went in for alignment and told all 4 cam bolts seized. Did a TW search and no surprise hey? What blew me away was it was recommended to replace those bolts with OEM, called up the dealer and $400!!!!! for just the bolts/eccentric nuts/etc! Mind you that is in CAD so about $350 USD. Parts guy was laughing as he was totalling it all up! I think because he knew what my reaction was going to be. I never did find any consensus on what to use after market. What should I be looking at? I do virtually no offroading. Guarantee either way those suckers will be well lubed when installed next!

If your truck is a pavement princess you can probably get away with SPC alignment cams. Any good sized thumps while offroading and you should stick to OEM. Just cut my OEM LCA bolts this last weekend as they were seized as well and the price sounds about right.

Also keep in mind that if they are seized then one of your bushings may need to be replaced. One of the LCA alignment bolts has a sleeve that ended up seized inside my LCA bushing and wouldn't budge even with a ball joint press. If you cut the bolts out, try and preserve the bushings so that they don't need to be replaced as well.

@Dougle I only paid $166 CAD shipped to me by ordering them online. I would suggest trying to see if you can order them online for cheaper first. I think we can figure this out for cheaper using OEM shipped to you, what would be your city and Canadian state thingy? Apologies, not well versed in Canada except for loonies and toonies. Also what is your truck config?

So if you're up for a couple hour drive down the island it could save you some dough .

I've used these guys about a half dozen times to get different things from the States . Very reasonable rates .

Seawings Express has an office at the Victoria Airport in Sidney . They also have an office in Blaine , WA . You purchase your items in the US and have them shipped to the Seawings office in Blaine . Seawings then brings them in to Canada via the Sidney Airport . Once your stuff arrives you go to their office and they will give you the customs paperwork which you walk over to the Customs office in the airport , pay your GST and any duty if that applies , take that paperwork back to Seawings and pick up your items .

sbqCYF4NTN6bouljlvg7xA.jpg I quit using anti-seize a long time ago. It seems to dry out and not do what you want over time . I use "Synthetic disc brake lube" , also made by Permatex. It stays like a grease for years. Like I have said before I live at the Jersey Shore and it is as bad as any place or worse in the US for rust . The Brine our Gov't puts on the roads to prevent freezing is bad and now the state wants to tax people who have asphalt driveways or parking lots with what they call the " Rain Tax" because of the Brine being washed back into streams and lakes instead of being absorbed into the ground. Yes our Government is a bunch of cracked eggs. Then we have the salt water in the bays and ocean that puts salt in the air to finish off the vehicles.

Yeah I even checked on Amazon, and the OEM ones are ridiculous. I know Toyota likes to keep prices high for their parts, but for some cam bolts!! Like come on, they don’t lube them from the factory because THEY KNOW people are gonna have to pay up in a few years to get them replaced.

And the sad part is, almost all of the aftermarket ones are known to not keep alinement after a while.
