    Same as everybody else...
Congrats on the new truck. As far as tires go I'd recommend, in no particular order, Falken Wildpeaks, Firestone Destination ATs or the new Cooper Discoverer AT 4s. I'm running the Firestones now and it's a great tire but I think I'm gonna go with the Coopers soon. The reviews on that tire are great and it has a 65k warranty. I use my truck like you, mostly on road with about 20% off road on farm and gravel roads.

Forget about KO2s. If you ever drive on streets you want the Wildpeaks. My KO2s are up for sale.

I've ordered a set of Falken AT3Ws in LT265/75/r16 that I'm supposed to have mounted on my SCS F5s that are arriving tomorrow ... Was just wondering if I've gone overkill and should have just gotten the P rated version instead since I don't really do any heavy duty off-roading or heavy towing.. Discount Tire gives a 30day return so I'm wondering what you guys think ...I've also considered the Cooper ST Maxx(also probably overkill) just because I like the look

4Runner Trail wheels and Toyo Open Country ATII tires 265-70-17. Cosmetic stuff like Pro grille and OffRoad black bumper trim, vinyl delete on side, added hood graphic, OEM tube steps.
I just put a set of Toyo Open Country ATII's on my TRD Sport and I like them a lot. Good looking and nice ride. 265-70-17. $140 from Walmart.com

Im running destination AT's and Wife is running Revo 3's

as far as on the road both handle really well. Coming from a sports car this was important to me.

falken at3w. Never putting anything else on a truck ever again. I’ve got nearly 50k on these and they were still awesome in the slop a couple weeks ago. I was one of the only vehicles that could make it down the roads. I have no bad things to say about these. Putting on a new set at some point but I’ve still got life left in these to my surprise

I'm looking for new tires too and was thinking of going Cooper, but given the love for the Falkens maybe I'll think seriously about those.

One question, do you air these down off road at all? I want a tire that would be okay in 15-20 psi range off road. Think these would hold up to that?

In my research, I’ve narrowed it down to these 2 brands as well! I can’t justify the heavier E rated Kos...but I do love the look of them.

Most people will never need super nice E rated tires. I do some trails that have fist sized rocks and I have never punctured a tire. The only time I did was on the freeway

    They make "C" rated KO2's.

I have them on my 4runner and can't imagine how they could be any better.

I'm curious why so many people are talking them down. It seems like a few years ago everyone was all about KO2's. What happened?

Ditto on these. Checkout Duratracs too. They look very mean and are a good all around tire.

Just saw a pro with Duratracs the other day and decided I really want these on mine now. Pics don't do it justice. It looked sick in person.

Can't get C load KO2's for 16" rims, E load only. People complain they're heavy, drag down mpg's & ride hard. I had E loads on my 2nd gen & liked them a lot.

Makes sense. I wouldn't have bought them in E load. I was concerned with ride quality and MPG. I've been very pleased with both.

No size available but E KOs for my 265/60/18 limited ...unless I buy new rim size. Again, they look awesome and I was very happy when I had them on my last truck (Silverado). I wish another tire company made solid white letter tires- I like em but that’s another debate!

Yeah, I remember the white letter debate awhile back:D

I thought I saw 285's available in C load as well, but maybe I'm wrong. Too bad they're not offered in all sizes.

The at3's look like good tires, too. I might consider them if I decide to run 2 sets of tires in the future.

Most who have Ko2's are running it in 17". If you get it in 16" its a heavy ass LT tire.

I guess it comes down to those of us who have had sports cars and rather have it light or close to stock weight as possible for un-sprung weight
