    I like Sandy. Close to Mt. Hood and recreation, but not too far from civilization. Kind of a sleeper town, like The Dalles, not sure why it hasn’t seen some of the population explosion of Bend. Downside is the commute into Portland for your wife. The I-205 corridor SUCKS. I lived briefly in West Linn, overlooking Oregon City. It wasn’t bad getting into Portland on highway 43. Oregon City has seen some revitalization the last couple years, as has Milwaukie.
