Yeah, BBK would be the next step after the EBC I have now, but still not ideal. I was only looking at 3rd gen Tundtas, and mostly brand-new ones. I even looked at Ram today, but their options are crazy!

Here was an '18 Hemi for $30k
    20190403_115135.jpg

The diesels I saw were all a pretty penny (or more).
I'm still not sure if I'm going to buy something or not; I really like not having any payments right now.

The Dometic cassette toilet(in the picture) hasn’t leeched any odiferous fumes yet on the Offroad trips. I’ll admit, I’m the only one to use it, as my wife refuses to go on any Offroad camping trips with me. I’m still unsure if it’s truly something I’ll fully integrate into the camping situ. But, I’m gonna hardmount that sumbitch to reregister my truck as an RV here soon...

My spare and old camping tent is a 2 pole Coleman dome. Fits a queen mattress and takes 5 min to set up.

From a personal experience, I think Dodge trucks pull the best when towing for some reason. Another option might be buying some SUV for towing, depending how much weight you tow. I have Escalade with 6.2L engine and that thing does a great job towing. Went through hills and no problem and was still able to get 12-13 MPG while you sit in a nice and quiet cabin. They still have solid axel in the back so that definitely helps with towing. Just a suggestion.

I've seen a lot of the 2 pole dome tents. I'm in no rush to buy though. Just going to take my time and search for now.

I got it direct from Coleman for like $50. Best deal I’ve had on a tent. I used the shit out of it. Probably more than the RTT so far but I’m also older now and different stage of life.

@Speedo is definietly on the money about other options out there. If it's not going to be a primary daily driver, there are tons of workhouse trucks out there that will get the job done for cheaper. Not sure if you are set on a new truck or are leaning more to the Tundra team, but there are a few places I know of that sell decent used trucks for good prices.

One specific team I know of out in the midwest sells used police/government cars and trucks like funnel cakes at the sunday fair. $10-$15k can get you a 2009-2012 former government Tahoe or Suburban with 80-120k miles all day long. All have the bulletproof 5.3 liter V8's and are usually all equipped with heavier duty chassis componets and upgraded trans/oil coolers for towing. We have picked up a couple of their Tahoe's within the last couple years and they have been BEASTS.

Seems like getting a used truck that you wont really need to care about while still saving some cash could be the way to go.

@Twizted Don't be afraid to look out of state specially Texas. I almost bought 2014 Ram diesel Larmine with longhorn package. They were almost 5K cheaper out of state then in Cali.

Have to say, my "tactical tent" (i hate when companies market shit using the term "tactical") has done me super well.

    http://domsoutdoor.com/eureka-down-range-tactical-2-tent/p/1-129308/

Several feet of Snow, thunderstorms, hot summers, bear visits, its been through a lot. Perfect size for 1 person and gear.

That being said, ive thought about buying a cheap-o giant tent for me and the gf, so we could walk around and whatnot.

Every used car dealer (wholesale and/or retail) I know who hauls 3+ cars at a time drives a Ram dually and swears by it. Most of them started with a Ford dually, moved on to a Chevy dually, then ended on the Dodge. Goes to show how good they are at towing. Not a fan of dodge really at all, but I have to give some credit when it's due.

I bought a cabin style tent for car camping. I can fit four cots and and a pack-n-play with room to spare.

    I bought a Eureka 6p.

Sets up in ten minutes with a beer break.

Don still has 1st dibs. I’m second.

I just happen to be looking at light bars this morning. My car has shit head lights. The high beams suck too.
I just moved last weekend from Campbell to a side road off summit road about a mile from rt17. It’s super curvy road and I go to work at 5am in the dark. The car’s headlights only allow you to see straight in front of it.

I can fit a light bar in the lower grill (arrow below)... problem solved.
