A lot of those washes don’t clean the underneath or do poor job. I used to spray inside of the frame and underneath as much as a could. Those frames rot from the inside out.

@Tacomaislife im the second owner I just purchased the truck two months ago. The previous owner told me he had the dealer installed his supercharger after he had broken-in the engine 3k miles. He said dealer charged him little over 4g. I was impressed how durable these supercharger are. Every thing else is stock. Wheel set I just installed a week ago.

I actually bought the truck with it. Works good, I can’t compare it to the stock but I haven’t had any issue. If you’re interested, I can try to pull a part number off of it.

I agree. I do my vehicles myself. Come to think of it the last time I ever went through an automatic wash, or for that matter, even one of those stalls with the power wands, was in the early 80s.

fj40 front axle with Detroit locker Trail gear 5" springs Rear 4 link with fox air shocks and E locker Vw 1.9 turbo diesel engine swap with a holset he211w turbo and giles performance injection pump
here's mine. build is pretty close to finished. I just need to install my 5.29s and have a front driveshaft made.
its a 99 taco with a rebuilt vw aaz turbo diesel swapped in. motor has an upgraded turbo and a few goodies, should be good for 175hp and pretty close to 300ft-lbs. also has a fj40 front axle swap with Detroit locker and a 4 linked rear with e locker on 35" bfg mud terrains. also has a 1985 ford e150 van fuel tank. currently on air shocks but they will be replaced with coilovers once its on the road. head lights are hid projectors I retrofitted. a toppers ez lift tent system will be installed as well as front and rear offroad bumpers and rock sliders. then I should be happy with it for a while hopefully.

Hoping to use it mainly for weekend getaways and camping overland style but it may be a bit overbuilt to carry all of the weight. I'll see how it turns out, may end up selling it unfortunately

What size tires? I'm replacing my stock 16x7s with 16x8s, have a stock suspension ('03 PreRunner), want the biggest BFG AT tire I can get with no interference. Thanks...

Stock size - 265/70/16 BFG KO's. Not sure how big you can go offhand but the offset of the rim you choose will impact that.

I'll probably stick with stock or go up to 275s, they're .39 of an inch wider. I have stock wheels now that have 4.5" backspacing and a +15mm offset, the wheels I'm looking at have a 4.45" backspacing and 0 offset. Don't know if that greater width in the 275s is worth the possible interference though, so 265s it will probably be.
