Gotta pass legislation before we can read it. I approve. You have my vote!

...if I was a member and could vote. But hopefully these other folks will vote for you.

You already post on TTR and ALT FB groups?

I was thinking of ordering the Midland MXT400 GMRS radio, but I'm unsure of the best way to set it up and what additional components to get with it. I have it in my saved for later Amazon cart with GXT1000VP4 handhelds.

The mobile radio there is a good one. As for handhelds, the bubble pack radios have very low power because they are FRS/GMRS. If you go with a GMRS only radio they can transmit at a higher power. I have 2 of these radios. FCC Certified for GMRS (new rules). Admittedly more expensive though.

I have the MXT275 as do several others around. It works well and is stupid simple to install, just a cigarette plug and a magnetic antenna. My major dislike is the channels are hard programmed as far as I can tell. The Baofeng handheld spoiled me with being able to pick any frequency I wanted.

That is the platform that I am running on.

If he does, then I will bring the blender for Jambo...

It's been a long week catching up after vacation. It sucks that it's supposed to rain this weekend, but I may be spending a lot of time in the garage anyway. I want to pull the Kings off for a rebuild before Jambo. Maybe I'll have some money left to change up the rear too.

Not Kings, but better than a blown billy! Betty’s prep for Jambo has begun.

They all currently match. Depends on how technical you get...
