Tacoma posts its best 1st quarter ever

I'm sure they did. Some are looking for an F150 to fit in the garage, here's the answer.

Given all the non-3rd gen taco threads that get allowed to exist in this section, yeah, it is a bit hard to comprehend. Also the Ranger is direct competition and regularly gets discussed in this section, so it does have something to do with 3rd gen Tacomas. But thanks for the reply, I think.

 

The Ranger ended up being pretty much the milquetoast offering I expected, which kinda bums me out. Not because I wanted a Ranger, but because it shows how badly they are going to fuck up the new Bronco as well.

That's all I have to say about that.

 

So it took Ford 3 months to sell 9,400 of the highly anticipated Rangers,the same amount
of Tacomas that are sold in about 2 weeks.....hmmm

 

Everything is overpriced!

 

It's hard to find them on the lots tbh. I struggled to find one to test drive (just for shits and giggles).

edit: also, they are significantly overpriced. They need to drop about $5k off about all of their prices to make it semi-reasonable.

They aren't hard at all to find on the lots here. Like I mentioned earlier, two of the dealers here have around 50 each (one has 52, another 48). And that's just two of the slew of Ford dealers here.

Edit: I just checked two more. One has 28 and another has 36. It's like Ranger-city here at the dealerships.

 

I'm in a rural area and car dealers are pretty small, the local Ford dealer has 1 but it's been there for a while.

 

The plethora of Rangers available here makes it even stranger that I haven't seen a single one. I mean, yeah, the sales obviously weren't great for its first quarter, but I see Ridgelines all over. lol

 

It helps that Toyota SLASHED the rates on the Tacoma. A Tacoma lease is now our cheapest lease. You read that correct. The Tacoma leases cheaper than a Corolla, Camry and the Yaris....let that sink in.

 

I dont really see any myself. I personally have the hatchback ridgeline (pilot) and I enjoy it.

 

Bronco is going to be a shit show just like the Blazer

 

I see old Rangers everywhere all the time, but like you have yet to see a new one other than on the website of the local dealer.

 

I wonder what the strategy behind that is?
