Do any of the after maket, or TRD kits from the cat back clear the x-member for ground clearance? or is the best bet to mod that your self/have it done?

sound improvement would be nice, but more of wondering if any of the "kits" bolt on to the cats and clear above the x-member at all. time vs money on having it done. :)

He asked about ground clearance and you respond about sound.

OP I think you have to have a local shop reroute over the X-member. I don’t think any aftermarket kits will do that.

It sounds good for a 6 cylinder, but chances are I’m going to take mine off to sell it. Just not my cup of tea.

OP, I kinda understand where you’re coming from with clearance, but my exhaust doesn’t hang below the frame rails, so other parts are bound to get caught up in stuff before the exhaust does.

Threads tend to derail after the answer has been posted but never from the 2nd post. Geez guys, did you even read what the OP asked.

OP, as far as I know everyone has it modded at a muffler shop. You can have them at a connection to make it bolt in and out.

URD Y-Pipe might be another option for you.

OP remember as well that a custom pipe done locally probably won't pass a smog inspection if there is one in your state, especially if it removes a set of cats. If you want to gain back the inch or so the crossover costs you in clearance consider running 33" tires if you aren't already doing so. That'll get you close to the same results.

If we're talking third gens here, no cats need to be removed. I paid my local shop $80 to do the reroute. Throw a couple heat shields on just in case and call it a day.
