    ok heres the 101 behind fixed gears, The frame is a track frame which means it has straight dropouts like this;

    They are meant to ride in the vellodrum but they have become popular in the streets. Instead of having gears like a road bike it has a cog and a lockring. The lockring makes it so the bike can't coast and to stop you have to push backwards on the pedals to slow down. thats the basic stuff about it
