Speaking of lockers. ARB is running a free compressor promotion with the purchase of a locker. Might be the best bang for your buck right now. Got mine in December. Contacted ARB in Washington so see if I can get a free compressor anyway, they basically said “nope but we can send you some free stickers and shit” :rofl:Just my luck

Not rare enough then cause it happens quite frequently. When going 70mph a rain drop can be quite painful on skin so you can imagine a pebble the size of a pepper flake hitting your neck is quite painful. Larger rocks are rare yes but the small stuff hurts too. Mudflaps do indeed keep that small stuff down from flying up. And if you truly need the extra $100 to afford lockers you really shouldn't be buying lockers in the first place if your that short on cash. End of the day I like to be courteous to other drivers and mindful the impact that my vehicle may have on other motorists.

Should I take advantage of this sale and order trd skid or is it waste of money?

Check my build thread...too much to list.
I honestly wouldn't waste your time with that skid plate. You'd be better off getting ones actually made to bash against rocks. Is it better than having nothing there? Yes, but it'll get destroyed pretty easily.

    So. Many. Stickers.
The TRD mudflaps thing was a joke.... But I appreciate the in depth discussion and commentary :D

I browsed through the offerings, nothing really in there worth worrying about.

April is locker sale time for ARB every year. I bought mine during one and they gave me the middle sized single for free.

Maybe consider a purpose built front skid as the OEM and TRD skids aren’t there for protection as much as styling and to keep road grime off of the bottom of the front diff and engine. Like Angel said, something that can take a hit or two. Many manufacturers here on TacomaWorld offer an alloy version to reduce weight.

As to flaps, these are rigid but flexible enough to bend when dragging over rocks and the like. Less expensive than allot of other options and made out of the same stuff as the high dollar versions.

I went with the plain black ones but you younger guys may want to select some of the design models.

That’s Aussie all day, Every servo in the country, as well as grocers sell rubber thongs. You’ll see allot of WA and NT plates with them on while in NSW and QLD.
