Where is your air compressor mounted?

I have mine in the driver side bed cubby and all i needed was a single 18” leader hose to the outlet on the side of the bumper

 

It'll be under the hood.

By the washing fluid reservoir and power steering reservoir according to the instructions that came with my mounting plate.

Im liking that location, or near all the brake vacuum lines. Ill need to bug you about which mount that is in 5 years when i can afford my onboard air and locker/regear setup

 

With the '15 Sport, I unfortunately have less space than others here...




Part of me is thinking of just doing my cowl-snorkel, first. and putting the compressor where my intake goes to the fender...

 

The Slee single mount would work for you still

 

Yeah, but I dropped the ball, and wouldn't have it in time if I ordered it today.

 

Why not put it in the drivers side cubby? I used the expedition essentials mount and plumbed it to the bumper. I was just airing up at the end of the Mojave Road and I like that I don’t have to flip up a hot hood and attach my hose there. I also switched it right there in the back, just my input.

 

I considered that too, but there are two reasons for me not to:
1. I'll want the compressor switch right next to the locker switch, inside the cab.
2. I have other plans for the bed cubbies, and am not sure (yet) if I want the QD in my Bruteforce bumper.

 

I should have this done today. I’m thinking of making some sheet metal boxes to specific dimentions.

 

About to pull the trigger on the bits to do the cowl snorkel to free up space for the compressor...



4" to 3.5" reducing elbow with aluminium 3.5" pipe and the necessary clamps.

 

Maybe someone here has one that isn't installed that you could take and then give them yours once yours shows up?

I've already got bits out, and am test-fitting the compressor mount, assuming my cowl-snorkel will be done too.

 

the only thing I've heard about the cowl snorkel is it creates extra noise in the cab, not sure if you had seen people talking about that

 

So, is it official? Are we doing this lift on the 13th?

Wheelers order Should be in tomorrow. Amazon parts (really only need the grease) should be in early next week.

Gunna pickup some more 75-90 this weekend for the front diff. @foxrcing07 said he has the bearing removal tool, hopefully someome has the appropriate race driver size for bushing install? And then maybe a slide hammer to get my CV out. Other than that i think i have most required tools. Although y'all will laugh when i bust out my Husky brand toolset lol
