Do you take off the intake induction to get at the driver’s side and if so is there a gasket to replace?

The gap is what is important. With the 3.5 engine being a Lexus engine it performs differently (noticeable) with different gapped plugs.

When I put the wrong (0.04”) gapped plugs in I could tell immediately it wasn’t revving or indiling the same, or getting as good of mpg

I then put the right (0.032”) gapped plugs in and everything was cherry again

Summit racing sells the stock plugs (model number mentioned a page or so back) for $13 apiece

But the factory oem ones online. They should be already gapped. Had a gen 2 for about 130k and replaced them once..... Got the long extension flexible tool to reach it in the block.

How are the gen 3 plugs reached? Better?

A long extension tool is needed as well. Passenger side is easy. Driver’s side, ...not so much and I haven’t attempted it yet. I will once I have some diagram instruction. I can’t afford to guess through this one.

I finally got the diagrams from Toyota for spark plug install on my 3rd gen Toyota! The only thing needed are the two gaskets under the “air surge tank”. $30 CAD. (And of course the plugs)
    CHEERS! (Read carefully)
