Good deal, I think we're heading up to Denton so that should work.

Yeah I thought you were out there last year but didn't see you in the thread for this year's jambo. Hopefully y'all can come on out and if you do let me know before hand and I'll load up some goodies to share.

anyone try Henry Mckenna Single Barrel? Keep seeing it pop up as it won the San Fran World Spirits Comp for Best Overall.

Trying to figure out if I should seek out a bottle before people go crazy and price jumps. Which probably already happened.

More or less trying to stock up our new bar(s) with a variety.

If you can find it for $300 and under, do it. :D

Otherwise, when you come up to cook with @Bigdaddy4760 , we can maybe have a pour of mine. ;)

If you find it for $35 and down, get it. It is an excellent option at that price. Let everyone else have it at inflated prices, though. ;)

Man y’all are so far out of my league here. I rarely drink whiskey and when I have it’s usually mixed with something.

I’m more of a tequila person though I like Grand Marnier 150 and have a bottle my wife bought be for my birthday a while back that’s almost gone now. I would get another but I think she paid $250 or so for it.

So which one of my new friends in this thread lives in a state that has Trader Joe's that sell spirits?

There's a few of these 'mystery' scotches from 'an unnamed distillery in Islay' that I would love to pay you to buy and ship me... Apparently Ohio Trader Joe's don't sell but beer and wine.

I was recently introduced to drinking grand marnier neat. It's pretty good!

It is and the 150 is very nice. I had tried it at a couple work related events where I didn’t have to foot the bill. Then my wife surprised me with it. I was a happy camper.

I'm very much interested in this as well. I heard somewhere (maybe it was in this thread?) that they were sourcing from Ardbeg (one of my favorite distilleries).

Yep, someone pointed it out to me a few posts up, actually, as I am also an Ardbeg fan now. I'd like to try both Finlaggan and Islay Storm and see if my mouth recognizes either!

Best Tequila I've had, and that's not a whole lot, was Aha Toro. Apparently they have factory issues or something (can't remember) and never in stock anywhere.

In laws have a timeshare in Cancun and one of the 'excursions' is to a tequilla museum. They bottle some of their own stuff there and to my knowledge don't actually sell it anywhere else in the world, but it is delicious. Like drinking mrs. butterworths that gets you insanely fucked up lol
