Was interesting to see a dampener didn't really do much

 

Yea the cable just tossed it off like nothing. The tire was the only thing doing anything.

 

All the reason to stay back when winching

 

I didnt watch the video but i have seen a syn line snap in person, scary shit

 

The syn line was tame in comparison with the metal line's that were just snapping and flying. But he did only do 1 syn line.

It was nice to see the exact same soft shackle's I have held up to that abuse with no issues.

 

Stay way back, whatever the cable distance is so it won't reach you. Then again you could always get hit by a flying shackle or something.

 

I watched it a while ago and don’t remember exactly but didn’t they partially cut the steel cable?

I was hoping to see under normal winching conditions how they held up to abrasion and which was more durable versus which has a more dangerous reaction. Think it was known the extreme potentially energy they hold and the danger. The again the reactions they got was from a bulldozer trying to pull a tree in some cases.

Regardless definitely looking into switching out my line.....may require a new drum, but will see how she goes.

Yeah. I guess the deal was tow balls being used, and the dangers of steel cable.

 

So I didn't realize I fucked up the date .I meant the Saturday the 13th not the 12 as that's Friday and I can't that day. So let's do this again.

Ya the tow ball one they cut to weaken so it failed right away . First tow ball they did was just pulled till it broke and that was about 7 times I think

 

I'm good either location.

 

Another alternative if there's a lot of West end guys that it would work better for

They don't do reservations and when we went out was pretty busy
