Have any of you been to Oak Island?

 

Not lately. Is there anything in particular of interest?

 

I was just curious about the show on TV. How real it is or is it simply just made for TV.

 

I have never seen the TV show, but there have been legends of Oak Island treasure for ever, and a long line of very serious treasure seekers.

 

Much appreciated! I think this weekend me and a buddy are going to hit up the Lahave river for some early season fishing... we're going to go in off of the #10 highway onto Ridge road (Just North of Springfield Lake) then travel North along the West side of the river to try and find some spots. I just need to make sure the Lahave is ok as I know it has some restrictions because it is a salmon river but I think the restrictions don't go this far inland. If anyone wants to go send me a message! I'm also thinking about going to find some mud on Saturday (it's supposed to rain all day so I don't think it'll be much of a problem to find mud) so if anyone wants to go on Saturday let me know! @ravenlord @Canoehead @D2. and anyone else I'm missing

Sorry, please don't take my comment the wrong way. I believe in the history of Oak Island but not so much in the show, it's reality TV. Looks like a cool place to live, if you could find decent employment.

 

I wont be able to make it tonight, but I am keen on doing a run or such... Maybe a fishing run

 

Hello everyone from Nova Scotia...I am from RI and my wife and I will be vacationing (Camping) in Nova Scotia in July. We will be staying at the West Halifax KOA. We are in our mid 40's and very excited to vacation Nova Scotia. Can anyone give me suggestions of things to do, where to go, must see things, any events going on in July (arriving on the 5th and departing on the 12th). Any and all help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. No kids with us either, just the 2 of us...yaaaahooo...

 

Peggy's Cove is close to where you are at, just stay off the damn rocks like the signs say. St Margret's Bay and Lunenburg are not to far, both great tourist places. Heck, Halifax has a lot of tourist stuff going on in July. August with the buskers festival has a bit more going on then July.

 

I'm interested. Gotta see if the missus wants to come along as well.

 

You could try this website: https://www.novascotia.com/events It's the government of NS official festivals and events page. As for things to do here what are you guys into? We have a lot of things you can check out from museums to tourist type attractions to general sight seeing type of things and all kinds of other stuff... Are you going to be here with your tacoma? I'll gladly give some advice if you can specify the types of things you and your wife like to do!
