Need a Nurf bar for my 4door! 4" or 3", wheel to wheel or regular?? What do you think??
I can't decide what would be the bed for my 2010 Silver 4 door long bed.

I've been on the fence about nerf bars too. There are so many to choose from!

I was never really a fan of the N-Fab type, but after seeing Nathan's AVID step bars in his recent thread, I'm rethinking that stance. I really like the looks of this style. I originally liked the OEM style, but not so much anymore.

I would go with the avid offroad stlye.

 

I plan on going with sliders one of these days.

 

I like and bought the stock ones. Some of the aftermarket ones supported here are nice but in my opinion only look good with a lift.

 

I went cab length N-Fab bars on my Tacoma, check out my build page for pics. I thought the wheel to wheel just looked a little off.

Those are Gear Alloy Double Pumps. They take a while to clean, but are worth it.

 

IMO if you are going to get nerf bars, I would go 4" - the 1 inch makes a big difference in looks, and the 3" ones I have seen leave a big gap between the bar and the truck cab where you could get your foot caught if you slip - not good for SWMBO getting in with heels and a dress (and that is when she needs the step)

 

I just took my Black Westin Platinum Series bars off, and am selling them if you want. I just got some sliders, so i dont need the nerf bars any more.

If your question has not been answered, I say go with the 3" ovals.

I put Aries black 4" ovals on my 08 DC 4x4 Sport, and IMO they are a bit too big for a mid-sized truck.

I like them, but if I had to make the purchase again, I'd go with the 3" ovals.

 

I love the way those look, I'm just trying to find a set around that price that will fit my 06 Pre Runner Access Cab. It looks like those only work for the 4 doors. I'll do some more digging around online, but if you know of a place that has those same kind but for an Access Cab lemme know please!!!!!!

For those who have the ebay nerf bars, how was the install? Do they bolt on to the factory mounting points?

 

Friends don't let friend buy nerf bars.
I got them from the dealer when i got the truck for my son.
I wish every day i would have gotten sliders or nfabs.
