I traveled a ton of dirt and sandy roads like around JT and the Mojave road, the only dirt intrusion is towards the tailgate for me, but thats because the tailgate does leave a small gap. Nothing too bad, just something I noticed, but doesnt bother me at all.

Good deal! That will make packing for extended trips a little easier.

But in regards to your bedding, I would def either keep it in a cab or a big bag.. Maybe a big trash compactor bag just in case of dust and or dirtyness of the bed area.

Most of our stuff is in stuff sacks, but a trash bag isn’t a bad idea either...

That’s the way it was when I owned a fiberglass cap and did The White Rim Trail in June.
Has anyone ever posted a cheap mod to help this?

I keep all my bedding in a big dry bag that I also use on my drift boat. I keep that up in a net underneath the fixed panel. I used to keep the sleeping bag and pillow loose without the dry bag and I ended up ripping a huge hole in my sleeping bag while removing from the net. It got snagged on one of the hooks, not a cheap mistake. The dry bag now keeps things protected when I’m pulling them out. Plus, it looks a lot more organized.

Sure. Install a seal around your tailgate. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CUJQZD4/
With my commercial shell sealed against the top of the bed and a seal around the bed where the tailgate interfaces, I rarely saw ANY dust/dirt/water inside my bed including driving through Death Valley for 5 days.

Hey man. Sorry, I was actually on a much needed break from all Social Media. Sometimes you just gotta unplug to keep your SANITY!!!!

Things are good here. Got a three week trip out west this summer coming. Going to be living in the GFC for all of it. Shake down spring trip for a week in May too.

Took most of winter off since things up here are pretty brutal. GFC performed awesome last year no complaints at all!!!!

Only real thing I did with my truck so far this Spring was I just finished up bolting on a set of JBA High Caster UCA’s. Going to get it aligned next week and see how things look.

    Hope everyone is doing great!!!!!

Front tube in my GFC is full of water.

Anyone know how to remove it? Figured it was just those Allen head bolts but it wasn't coming off.

I have been on the fence about maybe getting gfc but this is Piss poor. Seeing this crap made my decision not to get one.

Try a shop vac. Maybe it needs a gasket washer there. I'm going to check mine.

You should probably keep your negative comments to yourself.. or at least keep them out of this thread where no one wants to see them.

Not sure how it got in there. Looks to be a very tight fit against the machined hinge portions.

Might be possible the couple feet of snow is was buried in this winter didn't help. FWIW, I haven't had any other significant leaking issues, and this doesn't really affect anything except rusting the inside of that tube.

It needs to come off. I found the water after noticing a rusty drip of water down the side of my truck. Want to drain it, maybe paint the inside, and drill a drain hole.

So opinions can run rampant on the forum, including your own, but I should keep mine to myself?

No you’re right, continue to give your opinion on the gfc, in the gfc thread. Because we, the gfc customers, really appreciate your negative comments.

Maybe clear the water out and then fill the inside of the tube as much as possible with minimally expanding canned foam, the type used for sealing around residential windows.
