It's not that hot in Socal , last Summer in the High Desert it was 118 and single digit humidity and it felt very comfortable outside !!!

 

It hit 127 where I was for about 3 weeks straight...

It's not that warm at all !!!!


I remember back in 1987 and in small town in Arizona called Bullhead city . I was working as an underground electrician and at 1700 hrs it was 128°

 

After being in Iraq and Afghanistan deserts at those temps and more, I’ll humidity everytime.

 

I was at MCAGCC 29 Palms in the early 80's for a CAX , the temp was just around 115° . We were just issued the 4 color DBDU's and those BDU's were so thick it was like wearing a wet suit

Damn I should of got that one. Walked around there a few times. Been a while since I was last there. Next trip out I’ll have to walk around more.

 

I grew up in Lanikai. Been in Oregon 14 years now. Hawaii is special, always in my heart. Miss the ohana, paddling, surf... but, Oregon is also a good place to raise kids, amazing mountains and outdoors, good vibes.

 

That’s what I was hoping to hear. I hope the wife likes it when we visit in May.

 

She’ll be stoked to explore. That’s a good time of year to visit.

 

Our daughter is the main reason we want to move. Just to give her as much opportunities as possible.
