195.6g/sec was peak for a 2nd gear pull I did on the way to work this afternoon. Not that impressive I don't think.

Keep the TRD tune and improve upon it! No need to replace it!

Having the larger map associated with the TRD tune, you're in a good starting position.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Are all HPTuner pro versions the same. There is a local guy with an HPTuner Pro for $400 but I wasn’t sure if it worked for all the vehicle types. He has multiple thumb drives and the MPVI Pro cabling.

Wondering if I should jump on it or offer less

To flash the Tacoma you need the MPVI2. The older models will not work.

If you're planning on using it for Toyota, I think you'll need the mpvi2.

So with a little massaging the ecu harness will work as its long enough to slave in the spare ecu. I got it hooked up but needed to quit for family time.
Trying to rush while using software for the first time would be bad. Hopefully I'll fire it up later.

And I was able to slave in the spare stock oem ecu and read the tune. The tune is in our alternate location.

See above for the beginning of grass roots garage tuning....LITERALLY!!!

I am not the expert in this...yet, I will be gaining knowledge from everywhere I can and collaborating with others (most have much more experience than I) as a team project.

@TRON, I think there will be a tune available at some point. I know there are a few of us with that combo that purchased this little wonder unit to do exactly that! :D

E85 would be my dream. But not having an ECA connected to our ECU is scary. You just don’t know what ethonal percentage it really is at the pump. Could be e45. But there are quite a few performance shops in Denver for hptuners. I just don’t see how to get a dialed in tune without some hours at the dyno

I think an interesting point to note, is that of the ECU's I've seen, they ALL share the exact same engine calibration values.

I'm really excited to see the TRD tune.
