What is everyone using for paint protection? Heard a lot about the ceramic spray wax stuff.

For years I've been using Klasse All in One, it's an acrylic sealant, has a nice shine, easy to apply, lasts for months. I usually do it in the spring and fall, I did my truck in October, water is still beading, looks great after some rain (have not washed the truck since then either, too cold and I don't do automated car washes). Time for a full post winter detail real soon, weather is getting nicer.

Spray wax is so easy to apply. I often do it while drying the truck. So easy and quick. And I find it works pretty well for a few weeks. But I don’t get near the endurance from spray wax that I get from paste or liquid wax. But those are more labor intensive to apply. How much time you got?

Meguires ultimate Carnuba paste wax has worked well for me. Paste waxes last longer than sprays or liquids

I use a product called Aircraft Wash All Wax All. I use it at work and it always does a great job on our aircraft, even if they've been out in the sun all day. It meets or exceeds the requirements for Airbus and Boeing, safe to use in paint, glass, and plastic, and leaves my black truck with a mirror finish and almost no effort. Spray it on when the truck is wet or you can use it standalone with the truck dry. The shine lasts several days and it's easy to clean again when it needs it. It smells great as well so I use it inside and out.

Oh they also have a degreaser that will do wonders under the hood.

Buy the gallon. It's like $25/gallon but it lasts forever if you use it correctly. I keep the small spray bottle and a clean microfiber towel in the truck.

That's not true. There are spray sealants and liquid waxes that last much longer than some paste waxes. The technology of surface sealants has come a long way in recent years.

In general, any "paint sealant", liquid or otherwise, is going to last longer than a "paste wax".

I’ve used Wolfgang’s sealant wax and I really like it. It’s time consuming to get it right but it leaves the paint slick as hell. I’ve also tried the wash wax all and honestly was not impressed. It does work very well as an interior detailing spray. I just found the process to be too harsh on the paint in Arizona. Other less dusty places maybe better. This past weekend I tried the McGuire’s ceramic hybrid wax and was pretty impressed. I’m using it as an in between for my every 3 month wolfgang application. I don’t see any rain in our forecast for a bit but will be rinsing the dust off this weekend. Will have to see how the water and gunk sheets off. One day I will do an actual ceramic coating but probably not til November when it cools off here during the day.

If your paint is scratched from going Offroad (as mine is) you’re going to want a paste or thicker liquid (not spray) with carnuba. The spray waxes/sealers do not fill in the cracks. There is nothing that beats a paste wax on damaged paint.

I also use Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax on my Taco also. Easy to apply, dosent turn the black trim white and lasts longer in the sun then Carnubas. I use Zymol Japon on my wifes Lexus because it is in the garage and brings out a deeper shine. Just more of a pain to apply and maintain.

how does Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax compare with liquid glass?
does it last as long? im going to have to look for something else
when i run out. i have that aircraft wax but it only last maybe a week?
i only wax twice a year with liquid glass.

I like Mckees 37 Ceramic Hydro Blue. Spray on when truck is wet, rinse, then dry truck as normal. No effort and awesome results. I do this every few months and water beads like crazy.
