First batch sold out. You will have to wait for next batch, I believe.

Is there any way to order just the Meso part that replaces the stock mirror adjustment knob? I may want to go with the power folding mirrors at some point, but I would be extremely happy if I could replace my stock adjustment knob that has ugly chrome trim and constantly rattles...I wouldn't want to install the full switch, just the replacement adjustment knob.

It won’t work that way... if you want to replace and go chrome-less, the knob from the sienna is a direct replacement in black.

    UPDATE:

    1. I received the 4Runner Replacement OEM Toyota Adjust & Fold Switch, Automatic Control Box for the Folding Mirrors, Wire Harness, and the Motor Extension Harness. If everything goes well this weekend, I’m hoping to be sending these DIY Kits out for the 4Runners on Monday.0391884B-38BE-4166-8894-1AF0E039C2D4.jpg
    2. So what does that mean, well I get to start working on the rest of the 4Runner orders :bananadance:
    3. Now for the Taco Kits...I have been sent some instructions to try from the factory on the wire harness this weekend. If everything goes well, then I should be able to start working on these orders on Monday as well.
    4. I received the New Sets of Mirrors for the Tacos to Build! However, I received only the Passenger Mirror because supposedly the Driver Mirror is backorder until the 30th. Haha. Good Lord. Too much!
I am super excited to get these 20 Kits Shipped and in the hands of their NEW OWNERS HANDS!!

    UPDATE:

Today was a HUGE success for the 4Runner!!! The 5th Gen Power Folding Mirrors are a go once I finish the installation instructions. I will be working on it all day tomorrow and I’m sure it’s going to take a lot of time. I’m not sure if I will end up finishing it tomorrow or not. I will make it as detailed as possible as I know you guys are going to need it :) This has been so much fun! I cannot wait to get more feedback!

Here are some key modifications that will need to take place during this install:
    1. OEM Mirror Housing does need to get trimmed on the backside to get rid of most of the tabs around the circle where the Actuator rests.
    2. Connection Plate has a few areas that need modified in order to make it work for the 4Runner, but it works. There needs to be a small section cutout for the Turn Signal which isn’t too bad. There needs to be two 1/8” holes drilled through what are already mounting holes, but you need to be able to put a screw in from the backside instead. It will be identified in the instructions, but you’ll need to sand down two of the Actuator mounting holes that sit higher because they’re not used and they stop the OEM Actuator from sitting low enough. Lastly, there are some tabs that just need shaved off so the bottom cover piece can sit flush up next to it.
    3. On the Actuator, there is a tab on the top thay just holds the wires, you will not need this tab anymore and it also prevents you from being able to rotate the Actuator to line it up with a mounting hole for the new connection plate, so you’ll just shave that off too. Very minor. You’ll see.
    4. Last modification that is needed is in the backside of the Mirror Glass. Due to rotating the Actuator, the three little circles do not matchup anymore. It’s ok. They are pointless anyways. Just shave those right off and make it smooth.
I’m pretty sure I touched on all the modifications that are needed for these Power Folding Mirrors. Trust me, you are going to absolutely love them!!!

Here are some pics of what they are going to look like when you are done!!

    UPDATES:
    1. Installation Guide is currently in progress for the 4Runners :bananadance: I uploaded so many pictures yesterday it wasn’t funny. I have the first half complete.
    2. Now for the Tacoma people, believe it or not, I made a lie of progress this weekend on our Truck. I know it may not seem like it, but you will appreciate it when this all comes together. I found out after tracing all of the wiring, and there is a lot of wiring! The issue was in fact in the harnesses. They were indeed “inverted” due to the RH sided vehicles vs. the LH sides vehicles.
    3. I have a solution for this and I am currently working on it and it will in fact come out to be better than it was going to be before. I think you all will actually be really happy with the results. So if you will continue to be patient with me, you will love it. I promise. I am creating a new harness that the US just doesn’t have for our Truck period. Then I will be getting it made by my guy that made the 4Runner harness  and he will be supplying me with a FULL KIT.
    4. If, you are a Tacoma owner and you are just tired of waiting, I do have another option you may wish to take. I do have 7 of Toyota’s OEM Push Button Center Shorter Smaller Switches with a Wire Harness that came on accident with the 4Runner Kits. I would just have to get order some Control Boxes from my guy, but that is another option if you do not want the OEM Adjust & Fold Switch.

Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re building something that doesn’t exist. Waiting isn’t a problem. Looking forward to your finished product.

    UPDATE:

Install guide is complete for the 4Runner. Just waiting on @Braves95 to get back from his family cruise  I have one more wiring test I’d like him to perform on his 4Runner for me for a different feature when it comes to using the key fob and pressing UNLOCK. I’d like the mirrors to UNFOLD right at that moment rather than at ACC/IGN. Therefore, I’m going to see how the Control Box is programmed to see what options there are with it. Currently, you can use the key fob to press LOCK the Mirrors FOLD. We just don’t have them wired the other way right now. This Sunday he returns and will run this test for me and then I should be sending these all out in the mail.

Personally I don't think having them UNFOLD at unlock is a good idea. Camping is just one example of unlocking and locking the doors a lot without moving the vehicle. The motor will get far more use I believe than originally designed for and could fail prematurely. Gears would wear out, etc. You don't need the mirrors UNFOLDED until you're ready to drive and that isn't necessarily going to happen when you simply unlock the door.

    *BONUS TACO/4RUNNER MEMBERS*

There is no need to Splice/Tap into your Trucks OEM Wire Harness. My 3rd Gen Plug-N-Play Harness is made with all brand new material including OEM Connectors, Terminals, and Wiring to go with your Trucks Wire Harness located on the 3rd Gen Tacoma on the Passenger Side in the Kick Panel Area. SOON TO BE WITH THE 5TH GEN 4RUNNERS!!! The 5th Gen 4Runners Wire Harness is located on the Driver Side in the Kick Panel Area. The ORIGINAL purpose of this harness was to allow you to Lock/Unlock your Tailgate with your Key Fob. You are still able to use your key in your tailgate, but this alleviates the need for your key and makes it more convenient for your use.

    PNP Harness.jpg

I am contemplating looking into placing another order, however, this time I was thinking of implementing a SPECIAL twist with them!!! What do you think about adding a bullet connector splitter like the following picture on the end?

    Bullet Connector Splitter.jpg

By adding the splitter on the end, it allows you to plug in only 1, or 2 different connections if needed. I'm looking at this as a perfect opportunity to implement another way to connect two essential mods that I feel our Taco should have come with in the beginning: Tailgate Actuator and Power Folding Mirrors. As most of you know, I sell these PNP Harnesses as a FULL KIT or just a HARNESS option. However, I am closing out my current batch of 300 and I need to decide what I am going to do next. I've been getting asked to purchase more, but I have to purchase 300 at a time. Which is exactly why this led me to think of this option. I can kill two birds with one stone. I will change up the end connector to make a splitter and therefore, you are able to connect both your Tailgate Actuator and Power Folding Mirrors. :bananadance:

As for the 4Runner community, your PNP Harness will be more like the current one pictured above as you do not have a tailgate that needs an Actuator. However, please let me know if there is another mod that you can connect to your Lock/Unlock Wiring System that this would be of good use and I can definitely implement the same splitter on the end verses the single bullet connector. :)

Please let me know your thoughts. Trying to once again, make another install as easy as it can possibly be on my customers. However, if you don’t think you would use this and you would rather just tap into the Lock/Unlock Wires that are in the Door Panel, let me know. If I place another order of these Harnesses, I have to be able to sell 300 of them and trust me, that’s a lot of Harnesses (x2 now). Therefore, I’d love some honest feedback. ;) P.S. Before anyone asks, when I do finalize what exactly I want to order, it is a 3-4 week waiting process on these Harnesses.
