A day. All city straight thru a 55+ senior community. Most old folks around that area drive golf carts and really block traffic. I've done the 60+ one way, and NO BUENO.

Anyone have experience with sandblasting/ resurfacing a powdercoated steel bumper that's fallen victim to shitty Boston winter/salt?

Speaking of jobs, I was let go on April Fools. I guess my company wanted out with the old and in with the new younger peeps. So this week has been filled with modding :) This is what I've done so far...

    - LED taillights and 3rd break light
    - LED interior lights
    - Bed Mat
    - Knobs
    - Floor mats
    - Halo headlights
    - Set of front/rear speakers from *********
    * Front bumper is on order from Shockworks out of TX but their lead time is 4 months!! Ugh! I'm sure it will be worth it.

Thanks for the welcome! I'll be alright. I'm enjoying my little break from the work-grind and focus on me for once. Just need to chill on the mods for a little and go into conservation mode. Glad to be here. Y'all have a ton of info to share.

I'm with ya on the conservation mode. We have an emergency fund but not wanting to tap that anymore than I have to. I just finished the rear bumper earlier this week but it was paid for a couple of months ago. I'm not buying anything now.

Your best bet is to find a local shop. Something like a bumper would cost around $200 in Indy. Also its Media blasting, very rarely do they use sand anymore. Not trying to be a D, just educate. They use everything from glass, synthetic blends to acorn shells. If you're going to look for local shops, try to find a small one. They are more likely not to have minimum charges. Also search media blasting, you will more results that way.

    Happy Hunting! :)

I platidipped my front grill yesterday. Have you or anyone on the board tried to do the back bumper step or should I use bedliner spray for that?

Cool, thank you for the tip! had no idea that's what they do now. I am tempted to take it back to the shop where I had it done (I think it was around October 2015) and atleast try to get them to redo it
