No Sir.. no registered needed. Get the pass to ride. It’s one of the few places in the park system that unlicensed bikes, atv’s and Sxs’s can legally ride.

What he said about the sxs’s

Get a Dual sport... you can have all kinds of fun up in them hills. Not only are you legal, but you can ride every thing.

This is a pick from a few years ago. 12 of us rode 130 miles of fire roads that day. Pic is at the intersection right down from Flag pole.

I will say this.... the fire roads and trails look way different ripping down them with your ass on fire, than puttin’ down in a truck or jeep.

    Pic has Husq’s, Suk’s, Kaw’s and 2 BMW GS 650’s

    4BCC3D34-5F59-4EAD-A92D-5BCF3F102E96.jpg

Was a damn good day of riding!

Maybe we should get a group together for a ride. This is my 350 and I have a 1190 as well.

    Shit!!!!

I just sold my DRZ a month ago to another member. Thinking of picking up something again. To much fun to be had in the mountains with what little time on earth.

Nice! I thought about getting a dual sport but decided on a dedicated trail bike and a dedicated road bike. I ended up getting my TTR and a '99 Sportster. Although, I would love to have a WR250. Maybe down the road I'll sell the TTR and pick one up.

I would be down for sure. We had some bike talk in the MD thread a couple weeks ago. IK @AR15xAR10 would be down

Nothing wrong with a dedicated bike. I just like the DS for it’s adaptability for any use. Go anywhere anytime.

My bike is just a plated cross country race bike. it's the XCF model, best of both worlds. I've got the big bike for anything long range though.

    A thing or two...
Welcome. A few guys are heading out to Peters Mill/Taskers Gap tomorrow. Also, check out this thread for guys in/closer to Fredericksburg. Not as active as the NoVA thread and most that post in here follow the other as well, but it give you some more options.

    Hells yeah!

You get up in the mountains with all the various road types and its a great day.

I will say this... if you spill over into WVA. And end up next to the US. Navy Listening station (Sugar Grove, WVa.). Don't stop.... security comes outta the trees and runs ya off quickly. Haha.

    Cool beans.

I my self have been wanting to hit up the Hatfield-McCoy trails. Geared more to Atv’s and SxS’s. But the moto’s can have fun as well.
