Agreed! The only question is whether the ticket was more of a response to the kid peeing or her response to the officer. It's tough to say without a video.

I'll take "Terminal Stupidity" for $400, Alex.

A few years ago we had a kid killed by a train -- he was walking down the middle of the tracks with headphones on. Struck from behind as he couldn't hear the train horn and the train couldn't stop...

Yep. Years ago I lived in a town with multiple deep gorges and bridges over them. Suicide by a 100-150ft fall onto rocks was a pretty regular thing, typically a couple a year. Often over-stressed college kids, but at least one was an older man with a terminal illness. He elected to check out on his own terms.

    Edit:
That said, there were also cases of drunkeness and stupidity. In one case, they found a missing student in the morning at the bottom of a gorge near a frat house. Pants around his ankles, covered in sh!t. Apparently he'd stumbled out of a frat party nearby, and decided to empty his bowels by sitting on the fence at the gorge edge...

Another instance was a student walking over a bridge with a group of friends. In a true "hold my beer" moment he proceeded to attempt a handstand on the bridge railing. Attempt being the operative word.

Something like that happened here in Georgia a while back.

Film crew working on Midnight Rider wants to film on an old train trestle.
They're been denied permission to film on the tracks, just the surrounding area.
Crew sets up on the track. Train shows up.

One woman killed and another injured.

Oh and the railway? Lost / settled a wrongful death lawsuit for nearly $4M.

Always the trains fault! A woman in Portland had her leg cut off by a light rail train while she was running in front of it to catch a train on the other side. Warnings everywhere not to do that. She sues and gets big $$$$. Stupid wins.

More software issues; this time with flaps! Think I'll just drive. [IMG]

The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered Boeing to fix a newly discovered software issue in its 737 Max aircraft before allowing it to fly, according to a Washington Post report published on Thursday.

Boeing officials reportedly described the new software problem as "relatively minor" and said it was unrelated to the anti-stall system that is being investigated after two deadly 737 Max crashes happened just months apart. Nevertheless, officials with knowledge of the FAA's probe said the fix is essential for safety.

Three hundred and forty-six passengers and crew members were killed after two 737 Max aircraft — Lion Air Flight 610 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 — crashed within a span of five months. The aircraft has been grounded in the US and many other countries.
