Did you drill these to fit the bolt of the Habitat thru?

It’s a strip of rubber trim that covers the back scratcher.

I have a ton of extra.

Well now this feels much more solid. Not sure I even need to do the L-bracket off the overhang, but might add one anyway. Now my only worry is the awning aiming upward with the angle of the habitat side, but I'll test it out on flat ground tomorrow.

I was worried about that upward angle, too, but those flexible joints seemed to handle it fine. prolly can't angle the awning SUPER low, but we easily dropped the outer edge down to 4 feet or so. The arms do point up in the air pretty far when you first swing them out though, lol.

EDIT: My comment is in regard to the ARB awning, not sure which you got so could be different?

I have the Eezi-Awn Swift, which is supposed to be able to be free-standing without legs so I'm not sure it can be angled down when opened

Interesting. I just looked that awning up. Yeah, doesn't look too flexible from the pics online, but hopefully it has some give. Get outside and set it up! And don't forget to post some pics.

Might have to make a shim by the sounds of it. I have a shittybilt and there is enough play in the supports that it works out well.

Just can't tell from the pic if that pivot has any flex up and down. (pic from Equipt website). Definitely different looking than our awnings.

Seems like that would be a whole lot of un-supported weight way out there without the legs down. Obviously it works, Eezi-awn is supposed to be good stuff, isn't it?

It definitely angles upward, but I don't think it's so bad that I'm going to worry about it for now. Can tell when it's open that all that outward weight puts a lot of strain on the mounts but I don't plan on really using without the legs anyway. Happy with it so far anyway. Hopefully my riv-nuts hold!

I might be having a similar issue, picking up 2017 habitat off 2nd gen but I have a 3rd gen... wonder what you ended up doing and how much that solution cost you?

wonder if bed rug or something similar to it would solve or help with the issue... I believe these pick up a lot of dust trough the bed/rear gate opening as well and since floor/gate have it covered with the rug I'd presume it helps a bunch at least with the dust. any reason why you put the plywood on the floor and didn't just bolt everything down to the floor directly? Seems like it would just add weight

nice interior, did you fabricate yourself of had someone do it for you? Wonder how much weight it added and cost to build. I assume it's simply bolted down to the bed?

This is the feedback I got:
“To mount it you can drill new holes in the old brackets to match your 3rd GEN or you could use clamps. The choice is yours. Here is a link to clamps that will work for you. https://www.amazon.com/Silver-Toyot...ocphy=9029189&hvtargid=pla-584876138328&psc=1

I didn’t think drilling the holes was a good option as it was clipping the edge of the L-brackets. I went with clamps.
