Will these fit with stock UCAs and LCAs? 3" lift?

 

icon said they will work with stock arms but recomend after market upper control arms. they claim 3.5" of lift but anything over 2" and you should have new upper arms.

 

Would that be the same for 1st gens? Anything over 3 inch should have new control arms?
I noticed that alot of lifts max out at 3 inches.

 

not sure on 1st gens. i would say anything over 2.5" with these would probably be a harsh ride. plus alignment would be an issue without new uca's.

 

Call Icon at 951-689-4266, they're real great guys and can give you the info on the UCA's, I have their coil overs on my FJ w/ stock arms and this is my set up on my 4cyl 4X4, it is one of the finest suspensions that there is!

this is all i pretty much need for the front lift? besides UCA's?

 

these and some new ucas and you have a great front lift and ride.

 

these are long travel... how do they differ from a non long travel

 

these are not long travel, they are extended travel. they give you an extra inch of down travel.

 

so they would work with stock components, dont need them to lift going to lift with a spindle

 

icon recomends new upper control arms because these have a lot more travel than stock shocks and will eventually wear out the oem ball joints. u could run these for a while with stock ucas but i would recomend new ucas to take advantage of the shock travel.
