    I think different maps for the different mode makes sense (2h/4h/4l).

    There is more free space in the MT since there isn't any shifting business, so we've got a lot of room to add things. But figuring out what to add is the question.
    What do you guys want?

    I like it!

    Although we don't have the ECT button, I'll bet u a hundred bucks the input is still there in one of the connector pins thru to the internals on the ECM.

    Maybe optimised "engine braking" tables (throttle angle/intake VVT etc) for 4 low?

    quite possible, but it's not setup to record the PIN, place it into the ECUs RAM (memory) etc.

    I'd want 4lo as controlled as possible (engine braking etc). More muted throttle response

    Some way to flip between towing (more power/braking) / normal driving (more economy) would be nice, whether magically or with a button combo.

    I can stuff an entire new tune into the ecu when in 4Low, with ignition / vvt / throttle targets / etc

    Hmmmmmmm...

    Is this where we ask for 2WD low mode via coding? Maybe use some other input to do it.

    Transfer case shift to low range, ignoring the fol requirements

    1. Transfer case indication of 4WD mode (4H);
    2. ADD (front axle) indication of engaged.

    Edit: The ECM gets an indication of 1, then proceeds to lock up the ADD, then gets indication 2 under normal circumstances.. then you can get 4low. I'm not sure if it's mechanically possible in the T-case to shift the planetary gearset to low without engaging 4WD though... if it isn't, just allow the mode change to 4WD but don't send the ADD lock command to the front axle and also don't worry about (or fake) the feedback that it's locked.

    Some of us do have ATRAC - you could probably tie something to that button press since it only does something in 4lo... hmm..

    DO IT.

    Like @Shellshock said, give us very linear/predictable throttle in 4low without too crazy on the tip-in.

    FIX THE RETARDED ENGINE BRAKING CYCLE FOR GOD'S SAKE! It needs to be as strong as you can make it IMO.

    what you dont like whiplash in 4lo? lol

    1000-2000 rpm in this truck is definitely my current biggest gripe...well and rev hang in 1/2...and lack of engine braking...

    Oh my Mat it feels like early Xmas!!
    If we can have extra torque in the 2100-2400 range for us heavy trucks it would be incredible. Button or special heavy tune... Top end is of no matter when carrying weight but the ability to get up and go is a god send! If you need a heavy truck to dyno (MT) let me kno when your in SoCal. I’m lv Louisiana headed for Texas and can expedite my arrival in Cali if you need me for the benefit of the heavies.
    Oh yes engine braking can be wildly used on heavies!
    Thx

    @OVTune

    Have you driven a Jeep Cherokee trail hawk? The throttle mapping in 4low is great.

    I think if you took 0-75% of the throttle and adjust it to 500-2500 rpm it would make the pedal super responsive for the manual guys going slow off road. Just an idea.

    Count one more computer idiot as tuned. It was so easy a cave man could do it, if he read the directions and watched the video. Brand new tank of 93 ready to go. It's going to be a good weekend.

    For simpletons like me, the stock tune power is fine.

    Please make the throttle behavior as close as can be to a 1990 4x4 manual toyota pickup. CABLE. At least give us a full cable variation lol. Anything such as extra power, less hiccups, and improved engine braking would be icing on the cake. It is so infuriating to take off swiftly in this truck and have the revs stick and hang for what seems like 2-3 seconds when you need to shift. It completely kills the vibe, and you are left either standing on the clutch waiting for the rpm to fall close to where you need it, or you let go of the clutch and it jerks the truck or roasts clutch. Thats the only thing that would make me whip out that credit card like yesterday. Its been done with hondas, and hopefully it can be done here.
