I don't know now. I guess I might just change it myself the first go around and have them do in December.

I do have to have my tires swapped. I'll be using the dealer for that, because the tire shops in my area suck.

800 miles in six months, you should just use Lyft.

Some dealers will do it and count it as one of your oil changes. Basically you will get two free oil changes from Toyotacare. Then there are the dealers like one near me, that say they can't do it because Toyotacare won't pay for it. It just depends on your dealer, so you could ask them anyway.

I'd say "be happy" with a hard to close door..... The alternative is the shitty weather stripping that makes the Kazoo/whistle in the cross winds. The earlier 3rd gens have the shitty stripping. 10/17/18, Ithink

They have finally upgraded the weather stripping I guess.

Mine wont be going to dealer except for recalls or something I can't do myself. Oil changes, fluid top offs, tire rotation, transmission and differential service I will take care of and keep all my receipts and documentation.

Short of the night on the town to get drunk I don't know why anyone would want to use a Lyft or Uber.

So I guess by that logic I won't likely use my two free oil changes in the next two years. One would have to be pretty mental to leave the oil in waiting for 5k. I'm sure mine has a bunch of moisture since I do short trips.

It's miles or months, whichever comes first. However, with only 800 miles I probably wouldn't go in for that. I wouldn't be concerned about wasting their time, but more so my time.
They will change the oil at the 12 month mark no matter if there is only 1,000 miles on the vehicle by that time. Oil still loses its life even by time, especially in places with big temperature changes.

Inspect your truck thoroughly after the 5000 mile service. I just had mine done. The severely under torqued the lugs on my front passenger tire, and also inflated all my tires to 40psi. I dont think I trust them to do the "free" oil change at the next service interval, I'll just do it myself and have peace of mind.

Don't take it to the dealer, they will scratch your paint, hot rod your truck and leave grease on the inside. Good luck.

23k miles in 18 months so that's a yes (but I know what you're saying).

Dealerships are dangerous places. Do your own maintenance and avoid the heartache. These so called "techs" are just hourly workers and don't give a shit about your truck.
