Anyone that has an issue like this can send us an email to support@gfcengineering.com. That is not typical to have standing water like that inside the tube.

Issues like this will be addressed and corrected for any existing customers that are experiencing this problem. Some of the early units didn't get the corrosion inhibitor put into the tube as thoroughly as should have been applied.

In order to correct this in the future and retroactively, we are finalizing tooling for a new aluminum extrusion (meaning no corrosion issues) that will replace the existing powder coated steel tube in both the front and rear of the camper. When we have those in stock we can replace those for existing customers at no cost.

tl;dr, email us, we will take care of you. Just like we always have.

Just like how those Aerocontinental customers were allegedly taken care of?

Could somebody clean out the trash on this thread? Mass attack by drifter fanboys with nothing better to do.
Instead of just doing a cheap shot, provide some details.

No, this is a discussion about the GFC so if it’s relevant to the topic, why clean it up and censor comments? We already get called a bunch of forum nazi’s as is.

Personally, I don’t have a dog in the fight since I don’t own one, haven’t put a deposit down on one not own anything but a few ground tents and a CVT RTT.

I was able to scoop up a used GFC from @transworldmoto who was incredibly helpful in getting it installed and the third brake light wired. Cannot thank him enough for the help and support. Got some improved suspension from Fox 2.5s and OME HD leaf pack. Rides really well with the added weight and am very happy with the camper. Cannot wait for more adventures this year.

Compared to other forums, this is like Romper Room. Pity the poor person who'd like some dialog and useful information. They have to wade through all the adolescent BS. GFC needs to go to another forum where there's adult supervision. Many of the last dozen or so posts are just useless fluff.

@overlandwithus bought a Unimog and moved to Bozeman to supervise/partner with Aerocontinental to make a camper so they could travel the world. They paid them $40,000 - camper got partially completed before AC went under. They dont have their camper, or their money now. This is according to them.

They seemed especially mad that the AC Ram truck got sold so the owner could buy a Raptor - instead of paying off their debts.

For the record, I also don’t live in Northern California. I’m technically homeless.

I’d be interested in hearing both sides of the story for sure.

This thread does go through cycles of annoying and childish shitposting that is annoying though, no arguing with that.

I’ve been told that they were a “difficult customer” which I totally believe, but the facts remain that they don’t have the camper they paid for.

If this has taught us anything it’s that’s better to rip off a couple people for $40k each rather than a bunch of people for $1500. Or maybe you just need to give out a few campers to Instagram influencers.

    Completely disparate levels of outrage.

Little this. Little that 4x4 Swap’d PreRunner
Or 300+ for non-refundable $500 deposits for a camper that has seen at least a dozen confirmed issues... err I mean ‘retooling upgrades’

There is so much misinformation in this thread it is ridiculous.

First off, aside from Ross and myself, GFC is an entirely different company than the aerocontinental project. Nobody ran off with anyone's money. The box in question is currently being stored while the contract dispute we have with the client is being settled.

This WAS a great thread with tons of info. Then, a bunch of whiny girls (including douche bag 'moderators') showed up. No point in being here anymore. There's enough people with GFC's now - and lots of info out there. No need for TW if you need info on a GFC. I'm happy to take a PM but I've got better things to do and am unsubscribing from this thread.

For the record - I was order number 22 or so. Delivery # 46. GFC has treated me like gold - ok delivery delays were a little annoying but par for the course.

For GFC @gmacmt - I suggest that you set up an update email list or at least a place where we can get info without the dipshits on TW. Info like the potential upgrade front/rear tubes would be nice to know. It's hard to keep up with stuff like this because it's not worth 10 pages of BS to get a tidbit of good info.

It was good to be here before but I don't think there's any value any longer.
