    The auto is a bit tougher too. The 2nd gen Tacoma transmission was put in front of the 4.7 L in the 4Runner and 1st gen Tundra so you know it’s rated for the extra power, well until you blow past the V8 lol.

    Yeah, I was going to do 4.56's for the strength but was told the strength between 4.56 and 4.88 was the same so opted for more towing power and less stress on the transmission since I am on my second one already. It gets a little un-nerving listening to the motor scream at 2900 rpm for hours on end when on a road trip, but I try to drive slower. That lasts for about 20 miles. 65 is a nice rpm and decibel level, unless I am towing and it is back at 3000+ cause I am in 4th gear and not overdrive. But the jump from 33's to 34's was amazing for the highway and not even noticed on the butt dyno when towing. Want to go to 35's in a bad way, but hate 12.50 wide and the only 35x10.50 I can find is the Interco SSR. That is not exactly a BFG KO2 alternative. First world problems.

    LOL every time I have been to Seattle it is a dead stop or 90 with other cars within 3 feet of you on all 4 sides.

    I havent seen the 90 yet. Coming from Ft Lewis to Yelm on back roads its 50 and most the time im cruising at 45 or 40

    My only route I have ever been on is from the Tacoma airport to a hotel in downtown Seattle for Toyota meetings and then back to the airport. And I have never been driving so I have no clue what road we were on. LOL

    Its absolutely effed. The only time I can see wot is if I get out at 4 am for tests. Otherwise not possible.

    I know it is best to only do one mod at a time or change one thing at a time, but tomorrow is going to be busy. Budget big brake upgrade, rear Icon RXT springs, and 7787 spark bolts all getting done. If things go correctly! Have had a nasty grinding sound in the brakes when they warm up for a bit this winter. Hope it has been the brakes and isn't a wheel bearing. But only does it when braking not in corners and the truck doesn't track weird like a tire is not staying in alignment. But we will see. Then start getting the rest of the parts to do the CSF radiator, Roush tensioner, catch can and relocate the intercooler reservoir. Then the smoothflow 2.7 or 2.6 or 2.5 and maybe injectors and 76mm throttlebody. It is too easy to plan to spend money from this thread. Thank you all for your support.

    So with my recent coolant resivoir reroute I wasn't happy with my out line from the front heat exchanger. This is my solution. I'm going to weld another stick to it for more cooling properties. This bends in ways hose cant. Install pics will come. 15545174515031846621028881995014.jpg

    I wanted to run it but return was my opinion. I will go roush. And all new pulley bearings. I need a daily truck to be ready. Even if it costs extra. Like athlaos oil changes. Frequently.

    I have 4:30 on 33s and it feels perfect, it’s not over geared nor under geared. And to be honest it’s something you can do yourself. You can get a complete 3rd member from East Coast Gear Supply, and they will set it up for you with gears and locker if you want. Solid spacer or whatever you wish. Then it’s a pretty straight forward swap of the 3rd member with no shimming or set up required. Then send them yours back for the core charge.
