Dots on back window rubber trim

Does anyone else have dots on their rubber back window trim and how do you take them off

 

Buy that armorall tire shine. works beautiful. or the wipes from them work better.

 

i have them but cant get rid of them!!! total PITA!!!

which wipes? I also have streaks on my black driver and passenger mirror. Pisses me off!

 

yep, they're trying to dry-rot. all your window trim that will do that if you don't take care of it. use the armor all on all your windows.

 

my bro has the dots on his f150...he said it dont last long...u gotta do it in between washes

 

ya. use them on that as well. go to target and go into there auto section. the wipes i use are the dash wipes. they shine the shit outta ur mirrors.

Back 2 Black should work fine too.

Personally I won't let armor all touch my vehicles as it will destroy whatever it touches should you forget to re-apply it every week or two.

You know I wasn't really talking about the mirrors but the black portion of it. (that actually holds the mirror). It doesn't look like it has streaks but it does. must be the camera

 

Do you think 303 aerospace would work?

 

I've used 303 on my window sills and still have those dots. Someone mentioned dry rot, but damn on a 2 month old truck??

 

Yeah I hope not. I have them on the rubber where the radio antenna comes out of but not on my window trim. Damn Fl sun.

 

I use back to black on all my black rubber and plastic exterier trim...after 3 years it still looks good.. What exactly do these "dots" look like...any pictures?

 

I hate it, glad that you don't have the same experience. Rear window, driver and passenger side.

 

try some spray wax

 

x2...exactly what mine look like too. Is that a sign of dry rot or are they just stained?
