I bought some of the red tail light overlays because they do not make them in orange. I then bought some transparent orange vinyl and traced out the red ones with an xacto knife. And just put them on like you would the red or smoked overlays. I used plenty of soap and water spray to work the bubbles out. I think it goes nicely with the amber switchbacks that are with the tail light kit.

I just had very good results removing any shavings by using a shop vac with a 1.5” tip. I put the vac on the reverse bulb hole and took out the top bulb so it would pull from top to bottom. It got 99.9 % of them out. My OCD can rest now.

Pc keyboard blower works too using the straw. When I was shaving down I realized the crap was settling in at the edge of the turn signals. My OCD would've gone bonkers.

Yea...you know it's bright when you see the rear drivers and passengers faces lit up red. Lol. :)

Question for you all, I have the stage 1 kit installed and used the provided resistors and everything works great with no hyperflashing. I tried without the first but had an issue. I now ordered the v4 ultimate turn signals, has anyone had issues with hyper flashing or did you have to remove resistors since installing the ultimate turn signal v4s? If you did remove, what did you cover the exposed plug with now that it’s just hanging there. Thanks for any info.

When I ordered the stage 2, I didn't need to use the resistors. I plugged the unused ones with silicone vacuum caps ( any type will do).

Excellent, thanks for the feedback. Do you have any particular specs on size of this caps etc. and where you got them? Thanks again for quick response.

Any auto parts store will have it. I just had a bunch since I'm always working on my engine. They usually sell them in variety sizes. Dont recall the sizes.

I want to be a believer, but let me ask.... Are the new bulbs that much brighter than stock or is it the fact that you have a full "C" now that's lit up doubling the output ?

Been running incandescent bulbs for 2 weeks while waiting for the 7443 LEDs. Definitely much brighter and seeing the difference when the garage wall is lit. These aren't ordinary cheap Chinese Ebay bulbs.
Between running and brake is a huge difference .
Hell, these aren't brightest either. There's brighter 7443 or Diode Dynamics xp80 which is twice as bright .

Yeah..... This is where I was headed with the thought..... Upgrading the 7443's further for more brightness still (?) Has anyone gone this route ?

    @MESO ?
Why did you settle on this combo ? I'm sure cost figured into it but just curious if one could one up the best ?

    These are plenty bright enough.
If I want to go obnoxiously bright, I'd get the xp80 but they're almost 200. for 4 bulbs. If price comes down a bit , I may bite .

Yeah these VLEDs are perfect brightness. Plus I think he’s a VLED dealer now so he passes on the savings :notsure:

Arrgh.. USPS said my stage 1's were "Out for Delivery" today.
Mail was just delivered. NO packages!

Edit: The mailman must have heard me. He came back a half hour later and dropped off the box. Let the install begin!
