I’m a super Toyota elitist! Yet when my base model pulls up to a pro, I think the same thing (pathetic) -Guy has no tools/doesn’t know how to use tools/doesn’t understand what his truck is and isn’t compared to other trims/made a 10,000 vanity mistake.

As some one who has also had the Sema wheels for awhile now, and bought the baja’s beause I’m low key pissed that every 3rd Tacoma on the road also has them now...I’m even more low key pissed becauae after this sale every 2nd Tacoma is now going to be on the Sema wheels, and I’m probably going to have a problem offloading mine.

First off NOT my plate -
thanks - Norilsk - for the pick i nabbed from him

I like the way people think that the Skid plate is made from the same shit pop cans are ....
you do know that there are things like "hardened" aluminum ...

I may only get out on a trail 1 or 2 days a year... "30 miles from Chicago" so yep this should be good for me as i am not able to get back to moab for years.
So for $240 i'll jump on it,
Between 12:30am for my first order and 8:45pm my 2nd i had 10,937 orders between them...

THATS WHY PEOPLE JUMPED ON THE SALE.

    Note to self:

don't get triggered. don't get triggered... breathe.
you have great tools. you use an old school Snap-on analogue torque wrench that is perfectly calibrated though 30+ years old. You appreciate the bone-stockness of your TRD Pro. You love the guy at work who drives a bone stock SR Utility but keeps it immaculate (seriously, he polishes those stamped out base model rims until they shine--ok, it's a little nuts, but he's still awesome)

Maybe it's TW blasphemy I know, but not everyone has to mod the living shit out of their Tacoma to enjoy and be proud of it. Learn to appreciate the radness of the elegant utilitarian ethic. Otherwise you better look at yourself hard in the mirror and ask what makes you so very different from an Instagram addicted, RTT having, glitzy glamping, wilderness cappacino making Overlander who shouts up into the tent:

"honey, can you flip on the ARB? Also, where is the whisk attachment for the impact wrench? These 'creps' aren't going to make themselves"

If I had bought a pro I wouldn’t mod a THING. The whole point of buying a pro (for me) is to keep it pristine, so in 40 years or so it’ll be just as awesome as the Mojave Toyota pickups of yore. I almost bought a pro. But I wanted to put the truck through hell on trails, I wouldn’t want to do that to a pro.

I’m not talking shit on ALL pro owners. Just the ones that don’t know better.

I know better than to take you or myself too seriously.

I'm justifying buying all this dumb TRD crap on sale because I feel as though my truck should already have it all from the factory.

Ima be honest. Just for the bling...I would do a radiator cap. It’s all in the details.

agreed. though even at 40% off, $22 was a stretch

Yeah I didn’t buy one on the 4th. So one day I’ll end up forking out 50 bucks in total. One day.

Most of the TRD prices on parts are a stretch.

Anyone else have impressions of the trd intake yet? Put mine on today. I definitely feel more oomph above 3k in 2nd and hear more growl above 3k in 3rd. But other than that I was really hoping for more sound. I knew going in that many people whonhad it don't recommend it. I'm on the fence so far. I've driven hard turnabout 15 miles and my mpg has actually increased. Notbsure if the intake is more efficient for mpg but could be...
