    I figured that wouldn't leave it closed for too long, too important of a site to let it sit in disrepair.

    Interesting fact I just found on the site. The current dock was installed in June 2016 and closed in May 2018? The previous dock was installed in 1990. Only 2 years and the thing is condemned?!? Sounds like somebody did some shoddy work.

    If I retired tomorrow (still got 15 years to go...at least), I would volunteer at the WWII museum and help restore anything they wanted. Would not like so much to deal with the public, but would relish the opportunity to restore that era of anything.

    Also, on the bucket list is to learn to swim (@MTgirl).
    What is really sad about me is that I used to scuba dive and spear fish, but never could really swim. I’m kinda fat, so I float pretty good...but have always wanted to learn to swim and to have the confidence to hop in without the stress of wondering is there a current, any current, and what would I do if I got seperated from my kayak, without fins on...
