What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

It's a simply mod. I liked how 1st gens had "Toyota" across the middle of the tailgate and I like the font of the 3rd gens, so I decided to mix them on my 2nd gen.

 

Not to my knowledge. I got it with my first purchase and it seems to work anytime I put things in my cart. Others have used it. They give it to you after your first purchase with the packaging.

 

Finally got the tent put back on and a fresh 3 step coat of polish.

 

You should be really proud of this one Dan! Beautiful creation!

 

Finally had a reasonably warm day so I replaced the stabilser links and sway bar bushings, nasty clunkiness has been banished. Worst part was that there was no play in anything until I unbolted one of the links and then the sloppiness was pretty evident.

 

I mounted my Tekonsha P3 controller, found out I ordered the wrong cable, it was for a 3rd Gen not 2nd Gen, DOH! Amazon has great return service though, the right cable is on the way. In the picture you can even see the very elusive pigtail connector, I ended up taking off the lower dash panel as I could just feel that son of a gun, Toyota really made that a fun game on the 2012-2015 from what I read. I'll be going out this coming weekend with my teardrop with the Tacoma for the first time.

 

Cleaned and detailed my chariot. Pressure washed the entire underside. I highly recommend meguiar keep clear for headlights. Best detailing product I've ever used.

I'm still piecing mine back together after a deer collision..but I picked up this sport grille and taillights for $80 locally today. I'm in desperate need of good weather to paint or a new bumper though..

Just noticed in your message that i said the sale was in May... haha. supposed to say April!!

fixed it!

 

Did oil change and spark plugs fri.

Drove it up to the mts with the wife and dog for some soupy spring skiing at beaver creek.

Left at 2, beat traffic all the way back to Denver.

 

Used some back to black on the bumper and mud flaps.

I also found out that Armor All tire foam is better at cleaning my wheels than Mothers.

Man you are going to need reconstructive knee surgery from basting it repeatedly on it getting in haha, I moved mine to the coin tray on the right just under the wheel. Good luck with getting the right cable!

 

I forgot to mention that was one of my first steps to release the seal, even had it up to temperature, then gave her the good old rocking action loosen/tighten.No dice. Just lucky that is one bolt that has ever given me an issue and didn't have to use the little torch to heat her up.
