Did you lightly trim it as shown in the video if needed? Pics?

IS there a video of how to run the wires thru the shifter to the ECT button?

I put it through the other hole that the shifter doesn’t run though. Didn’t want it getting tangled or caught up.

I might of misunderstood. Are you just installing the kit to the shift knob Or installing the whole thing to the truck?

Watch the videos a few pages back. Remove the bezel around the head unit, pull the plastic piece out to the right of the steering wheel, then pull out the piece with all the controls (hazards, air control etc).

You’ve also gotta pull the center console out first, take the two bolts out in the storage box first. Disconnect two wires. I had a struggle with the parking brake boot until I noticed it pops off.

Gotcha. I fished the wire up from the bottom under the Qi charger. There is a tiny hole you can route it though. Then grab it and connect it to the ect wire.

Here is what I am running into, and I believe that @crazyfingers is asking about the same situation.

Where and how do the small switch connecters lay between the knob and the shifter boot garnish?

There is a hole in the very front and back of the chrome ring on the boot. I used the front one.

Yeah, I couldn't find a complete video either but here are some tips that might help:

You disconnect the stock wire from the back of the ECT button and attach it to the new wiring from the kit.
You then basically feed the other end (with the smaller plug that goes to the shifter) down behind the Qi charge cubby.
Lift up the shifter surround and look under the Qi charging mat with a flashlight and hopefully you'll see the end of the wire next to a stock yellow wire bundle.
There's not a ton of space under there. You might have to pull the wire back and re-feed it down.
I found that if I fed it down towards the passenger side it made it into a gap where I could see it below and fish it out.
You then feed it up from underneath the shifter boot through one of the holes. I used the one towards the back.
Screw the knob on and then connect the ends of the wire and then shove the small connection back down so that the shift boot collar can properly attach the the base of the knob.
    Hope that helps.

Put it through the hole in the back that is unused.
