Anyone find KO2 wet traction subpar? Had my back end slide out a few times on 17 today going below the speed limit on some turns.

 

Yes that’s why I got rid of mine. Had the same problem on 17. Did not feel safe driving my daughter to see grandma in Santa Cruz with those tires in the winter. Swapped to st maxx and all is good now.

Yeah black bears are like big dogs. Scavengers mostly. When threatened they’ll tear shit up but mostly they scare easy. At least in my experience.

 

Terrible in wet conditions. I have had a few sets of KO2's over the last few years, and although they aren't as bad right now (on my all-time awd GX470 SUV) I still have moments. When I had my first gen tacoma a couple years ago, it was fucking terrible. no weight in the back really makes those tires act like its the wild west and they aren't afraid to take you to the cemetary.

The problem I was having before was I was only sourcing the negative lead from the dimmer circuit, so once I tried it with the solid green wire, it was golden; I however didn't tap in at the HVAC, I did it closer to the fuse box next to three steering wheel.

It'll have to do until I get more flip u-bolts. Forgot all about that. Deavers only supplies the boxed bolts, as shown above. Should have opened the box a month ago when it arrived. Live and learn the hard way. Just to move the truck to my parking pad we had to use the boxed u-bolts with the Wheelers bump stop plate up side down. Sucks I wont be able to drive the truck until the new bolts arrive.

Yes. Hey after 7 hours of wrenching, cutting, grinding, and more wrenching; ya do what ya gotta do to make it work until parts arrive. I'm exhausted and my neck, back and knees are killin me.

 

Didn't realize how much power the tundra has when you turn off trac control and tow/haul on... Smoked my tires for way longer than I thought I was going to

 

Anyone running a brake upgrade on 16s?
-FN wheels 16x8 4.5 bs also got .5" spidertrax if a variable

Any recommendations for brake upgrades on 16s?
